Summary: First of all. I am an EDM (Electronic Dance Music) fan. My music is all about untz untz untz... and more untz. I bought the Bose Companion 2 Series III from BestBuy and Z553 on amazon. I compared both products side by side. Bose didn't "wow" me.
Summary: These are great for reproducing clean sound in a non-audiophile environment while looking really REALLY good.
Pros: Very good looking, easy setup, sound is clear and mostly full, volume knob is very attractive and functional. I bought these to replace a set of OOOOLLLLLLD Logitechs that finally died. The space-age looks are fantastic and really stand out. Sound is clear and full for a set of this size. The sta...
Cons: I wish the red accents were blue to match my taste, it isn't really visible, so it's a negligible problem. The bass response is a little lacking, but unless you have a 12" high-wattage subwoofer, it will always be missing that punch.

Summary: Judging by many reviews I read around the web, it seems like either some users had some unreal expectations about this product, or they have never owned PC speakers before. These speakers sound really good, especially considering the price point.
Summary: For $50 these things were the cats meow. I got these for myself after I saw they were marked down to $50. I needed a new set to replace my Logitech z230s They are very ample in sound - it's no Klipsch, but I can deal with it for $50. Best speaker I could find for this price range.
Summary: I purchased these to use with my entertainment center in my living room rather than computer speakers. They easily fill the room with clear, full sound. I was not happy with the sound from my Samsung 5.1 home theater in a box system because you would get really loud action scenes and very quiet...
Summary: Love these. These are awesome for a home/gaming PC. Seems a lot of people wanted to hook these up as home theater speakers -- they're just not enough to fill a room as large as our living room. They're fantastic for a gaming machine, though.
