Summary: This was a reconditioned item. In tone and appearance it equals another Logitech Z523 2.1 that I bought new a while ago. I'm 100% satisfied. One wrinkle, though: This current purchase did not come with set-up instructions; so I used instructions from the one I bough new.
Summary: I wouldn't consider my self an audiophile but I do enjoy decent sound without breaking the bank. These speakers do a good job with pretty much anything I throw at them be it gaming, YouTube, movies, or music and I am very happy with the purchase.
Pros: Good 2.1 speakers over all. Light on the volume knob is not overly bright. Bass knob directly under volume knob for quick adjustments.
Cons: A few extra cords to deal with if moves or to cable manage.
Summary: I was looking for a speaker for my dorm room and decided to buy this when it was on sale ($55). I have a much larger speaker at home, but wanted something smaller for the dorm, that would still thump. This product is exactly what I wanted, and it does thump.
Summary: Bought this very simple (and inexpensive) unit for a friend who can now enjoy internet radio. It performs well enough to sent music around most of the house and the quality is pretty darn good. He's very happy with it. Small foot print too.
Summary: After reading other reviews, it seemed like this sound system would work for my budget. I'm very pleased with the sound I hear from TV programs and movies on DVD/blue ray. The base from the subwoofer is especially richer and deeper than the previous system.
Wowza talk about some bass. I was very hesitant to pick these up,

Summary: Wowza talk about some bass. I was very hesitant to pick these up, you read the specs and your like 6.5 sub with only 40 watts that can't sound that good, but boy was I wrong, When gaming or listening to music you will at times want to turn the bass down.
Summary: When I bought them they were $100. Four years and two moves later and they are still going strong. The cable in the back connecting the sub-woofer is a little touchy but once you get it correctly positioned it's fine.
Logitech Speaker System Z523 - Worth every penny spent
Victor D Mavis, Amazon

Summary: I've actually owned this exact same brand of Speakers. After 2.5 years of owning & using the first set I had, it finally stopped working on me Ugh Loved them so much that I ended up just replacing it with a newer version. Also, made sure I bought the Extended Warranty just in case.
Summary: These are great cheap speakers for a small room. I bought them for my (small) kitchen and they have totally exceeded my expectations. I was going to buy a little wireless soundbar or bluetooth speakers, but these sound so much better.
