Subwoofer buzzes during certain sounds.

Erik, Amazon
26 November 2014
  • Summary: I was pretty upset. I was really planning on enjoying this, but the subwoofer gives this terribly annoying buzzing sound at certain notes that I can't get rid of. It started doing it right off the bat. No return policy though.

Disappointed...

crisco2, Staples
3 February 2014
  • Excerpt: I had a pair of Altec Lansing speakers that I had for years and was very happy with. The "pin" plug was flawed, and I made the mistake of taking it out, and then couldn't get it back in and jacked up all the pins.
  • Pros: Compact Design, Easy To Use
  • Cons: Poor Sound Quality

Great Sound, as Long as You Never Touch the 9-Pin

  • Summary: I was very excited to get these speakers and very disappointed when they came. I love Logitech and prefer them for all of my peripherals, but these were a huge letdown. I received a horrible humming feedback when I first plugged them in.

Snap, Crackle, Pop

Matthew P., Newegg
23 April 2013
  • Pros: They sounded great for awhile.
  • Cons: After just about a year, the right speaker has begun popping, hissing, crackling, and otherwise cutting out. I haven't moved the speakers since plugging them in a year ago--just poor build quality on Logitech's part. Seems that most of their products give out after about a year.

User Review

Matthew G., Newegg
28 November 2012
  • Summary: Perhaps it's just my specific set of speakers, but I would not recommend these to anyone.
  • Pros: The bass is very good, can be turned up quite loud, and it worked for my needs of being able to hook AV into it.
  • Cons: It isn't clear or crisp at all on both my PC and Xbox. No matter how I try to adjust this it doesn't seem to want to be clear, everything sounds "blurred" with this setup.

Rattle and hum

Anton, reviews.logitech.com

  • Summary: Logitech was known to create good sounding computer speakers at an affordable price . The prevoius set I had, the X203 was great. It still sound perfect after all these years. The Z523 however break all the rules we would expect from Logitech.
