Summary: Logitech sent me a new one without wanting the defective unit back. So I now have two sets of speakers after repair. The failed component appears to be an E-Switch TL2230, they're available on Digi-Key in minimum orders of 1000, but is otherwise a cheap piece of junk.
Pros: Worked briefly. And working again after invasive repairs.
Cons: Really cheap components. Power button died after a few months of average use. Fixed with a cheap rocker switch, a dremel, and a soldering iron. Most users will throw the unit away long before that point.
Summary: I thought these would be surround sound speakers, that I could use for my other channels on my surround sound. The pictures make them look like the speakers that come with a cheap surround sound system. Entire system comes in a 10"x10"x14" box, these are multi channel pc speakers.
Pros: They don't take up much space, and hook up easily to a computer.
Cons: While the only jacks shown are RCA or composite jacks, the only connection available is a pc speaker or headphone jack.
Summary: I first bought the Z506 and it worked great for about a week until I noticed that one of the rear speakers was barely producing any sound. I then bought another set of the Z506 and it too worked wonderful for about 2 months until one of the speakers did the same thing and the speaker barely made any...
Summary: I Wanted better audio from my smart HDTV Toshiba 40L3400U 40? Class 1080p 120Hz LED Smart HDTV so thought these would work.Well I was wrong. The Toshiba has no analog RCA outputs. And the Logitech Z-506 Speaker System has only analog RCA input. I should have known the HDTV was digital out its mine.
Pros: I set up the speakers and really love the sound. The bass is really good.
Cons: After two days, no sound coming out from any speakers. I checked all cables and they are all connected. Nothing has been moved or changed since I set up the speakers two days ago. I thought it might be my laptop. I hooked it up with my old speakers, they work fine, no problem. So obviously, somet...
Summary: I don't mind buying refurb but just because its refurb it still should work.
Pros: They sound good, look good and the price was right 40 bucks free shipping.
Cons: Sound like Poop when I got them hooked up. Checked other bad reviews and decided it was not worth sending back so I took the sub out. The problem was the magnet on the sub was half hanging off. Some JB weld and a smack with a hammer it was back on and now they sound good. I am a little upset I re...
Summary: Overall this is the worst purchase I have ever made from Newegg. My version (refurb) came with many nicks, scratches and dents in the product. I would have certainly returned if not for the no returns policy on refurbs. Buyer beware! This makes me a little nervous to trust Newegg in the future.
Pros: Decent sound quality at a low volume. Cheap price.
Cons: Poor quality product, extremely poor design made worse with the refurb status of the one I bought. The subwoofer has the speaker open to the bottom of the unit with no grill. As a result if you like me open the box to pull the unit out you will most likely nearly rip through the speaker foam surr...
