Summary: This is a really nice speaker, I just want you to know exactly what it is and what it is not. For me, it was perfect in comparison to some of the mini rechargeable speakers on the market. I use it in a fixed location - in my bedroom as the speaker for my mini projector.
Great portable speaker if you don't need or want Bluetooth

Summary: Nice quality at an affordable price. I have EMF sensitivity, so avoid bluetooth whenever possible. This was exactly what I was looking for: A portable speaker with decent sound that will work with any devise with a headphone jack.
Summary: My laptop speakers are crap and needed a boost. Speaker is excellent mono: use it for streaming audio and Skping too. Light. Portable in a backpack. No volume control or USB power (as many have noted) but in office/home environment it's fine. Good value
I needed a good but portable speaker for my laptop

Summary: I needed a good but portable speaker for my laptop. I wanted a single speaker rather than dual or an extra bass speaker. Something handy to listen to music on occasionally. I am hearing impaired and my eq. settings are generally considered "annoying" to most people. This speaker works great.
Summary: Works nicely, good volume, although I had to dig up the OS volume control as well as the video player volume control to maximize the results in some cases. The only other drawback aside from no built in volume control is that it does not have a USB power supply.
Summary: I really wanted to like these. . . The size is great, the hard wired connection is great, but the sound. . . It crackles and pops sometime when there are low tones being played. And I'm not talking heavy rap bass. Just a simple bass chord in a new age type of music. Strange.
Summary: My laptop volume control sucks. This speaker fixed my problem. It just plugs into your headphone jack and brings the volume up. There is no volume control on the speaker itself so you still have to max out the volume control from the laptop.
Summary: I wanted a stupid plug-in speaker to connect to my smartphone, so I could play Spotify Free in my bedroom. That's exactly what this is. It gets nice and loud. It's not stereo (obviously), but I don't care. The bass is decent enough.
Summary: Surprisingly good sound from this little speaker--good price. Some reviewers complained about the need to plug it in, but that has not been an issue for me when using it to watch movies on my laptop.
