Summary: Subwoofer was a big disappointment. Bought this set to replace a old set that also was a logitech. Old one did have bass adjuster. Though this newer version would have better sound overall and while it is way louder the bass lacks significantly at any volume. Save yourself some money and buy a set that does not have a subwoofer or get one with bass control.
Summary: Bought these for a laptop they were inexpensive and I have other logitech devices. The sound is actually not bad, but hardly impressive there is no volume control for the sub so the bass is sorely lacking at lower levels.
Excerpt: They sound ok for what I paid for them. The sub does not have a separate volume control to control the mix. So when playing back different media types it can be a little rough sounding. if I had it to do over I would go to to the next model up.
Excerpt: Purchased for office use. The bass is overwhelming for normal listening. It rattles the walls in the adjoining offices and cannot be adjusted. Returned to store because product was unusable for my application.
Pros: Attractive Design, Easy to Mount, Easy To Set Up, Great Sound Quality
Pros: The speakers are small and fit on your desk nicely, the subwoofer is smaller than most also. Overall, the speakers give good sound for the price. Also there is a volume control switch which can be velcroed to your desk near the keyboard.
Cons: There is no switch to control the bass. I like bass but in some songs the speakers put out too much bass and it vibrates. I decided to return them and get better quality speakers for $25-30 dollars more.
Summary: Honestly, even with the over-zealous little-sub-that-could, they still sound better than previous speakers I've had at this price.
Pros: Good price, definitely pack a punch for their size and cost. The remote and the cables all plug together in a pretty handy fashion compared to some alternatives. If you're the sort of person who typically turns "bassbooster" on for all genres, you might just have found the speakers for you.
Cons: I read a lot of other reviews talk about how the sound is balanced way too bass-heavy and that the subwoofer lacks an independent volume control, I thought to myself "Use your software equalizers, people!".. Welllll I should have listened. Using Realtek HD Audio Manager's equalizer does allow me to bring the sub down to a point where the people in the apartment below me no longer COMPLETELY hate me, but the result is kinda funny sounding unless I re-tweak the equalize...
