Summary: I BOUGHT THIS FOR MY PORTABLE DVD PLAYER FIGURING LAPTOPS ARE MORE OR LESS THE SAME BECAUSE THEY'RE BOTH DVD PLAYERS AND BUILT THE SAME.. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE ALTHOUGH IT FIT GOOD ON TOP OF THE SCREEN AND PLUGGED INTO THE USB OUTLET,IT'S NOT COMPATIBLE WITH PORTABLE DVD PLAYERS.
Summary: I had trouble hearing dialogue when watching video on my laptop with its puny speakers. This speaker has been a perfect solution for me and produces better / louder sound. I've had it for over a year at this point and have not had any problems. It is very compact / portable if needed.

Summary: Very good speaker. The clip is a little stiff for my thicker-than-normal 17-inch laptop screen, so it occasionally sort of works its way up to the top and then pops off (though this takes a while). Also, the volume control is sort of strangely placed in my opinion.
Summary: We all know how lame laptop computer speakers are, this corrects that. No, you won't be getting a BOSE experience, but they sound pretty darned good for what they are. If you want large sound, buy LARGE speakers, this is what you do for decent sound if you need portable.
