Summary: You know, there are times when one reads a review and there is an amount of justified dissension, and then there are times when you read a review of something you own and it seems like an entirely different product. Point in case: Logitech speakers. To put it in simple terms these are NOT a pair of B&W Nautilus... they are a £10 pair of plastic speakers for a computer - so audiophiles back up and take leave of your self for a moment.
Logitech Z120 USB Stereo Speaker - Black and White
17 April 2013
Excerpt: The speakers are very good, it’s not exactly loud but it definitely plays louder and clearer than the stock notebook speakers at full blast, at full blast it has no distortion and it’s quite nice for the office if you’re in a cubicle or if the walls are thin.
Summary: These small, portable speakers are perfect for my laptop! I even cut one of them off for less clutter and easier mobility. Just the one speaker is loud enough for me. I also love the feature in the back of the speaker that allows you to wind the unused portion of the wire...so that area around laptop looks really neat. Great price, great little speakers!
Pros: inexpensive, portable, neat, USB powered, exceptionally clear mids and highs. bass is not good, but better then expected for a 1.5" cone. these get LOUD for only 5 watts of USB power.
Cons: i would really have to look for a con. best i can come up with is that the bass can sometimes distort, but again. if this is a problem then don't be buying a 1.5 inch cone expecting subsonic performance, this does a better job then any i've seen
Summary: While watching a few youtube videos, I found my laptop speakers insufficient. I thought to augment them with external speakers. My requirements were: Small in size --> should not occupy too much space on my desk light in weight --> should be able to carry with my laptop Decent sound output --> I did not want a home theatre, but music should be enjoyable with good bass.
