Great sounding, worst software/hardware
5 September 2014
Summary: Crashes constantly, end of life product means Logitech won't give a care about what is wrong with them. Basically, these were discontinued for good reason. They sound really nice though, when they work.
Summary: I bought these speakers about half a year ago. The sound quality is pretty decent when they actually work. However, when I got this set, I had XP installed. Since these are USB speakers, they require software to run them. The interface was complete junk, filling the top and bottom 1/4 of your screen with a very primitive UI every time you changed the volume. On top of that, you need to use a stupid remote to change the sound since it has no physical knobs or buttons.
Summary: I bought these last month for my husband as a Christmas gift. Last month the price on this item was about $79 on amazon. I went based on great reviews these speakers received on Amazon. I installed the software on a computer running Windows XP. However I am very disappointed in these speakers and now I have a brick. You have to remember that it recommends Windows XP Media Center Edition or Windows Vista.
Summary: Bought these through Amazon , got them home and struggled to get them to give a good sound. Had Z-2300 system before ( reason fornot having it gave it to my son who is more than happy with his new computer speakers)and was looking for sound equal if not better than the Z-2300, but was very very dissapointed with the sound ,the bass and the overall volume of the system. The suround was not effective wished I had gone for the bose system which is about the same cost.
