Amazing Sound for the Money

parazeph, Ebay
1 July 2008
  • Summary: Basically the best 4.1 system out there for a computer. Considering the price, it's an absolute steal. The bass is low and true, the highs clean and clear. Buying anything else would just be silly and excessive. Klipsch speakers offer similar quality but at about 175% the price. Save yourself some cash and make the smart choice!

Logitech Z560 Speakers "Still Awesome After 10 Years"

C. Ruiz "Music Lover and DIY Hobbiest", Amazon
30 November 2005
  • Summary: Update 2010; Read my review of Z-2300's and this update to my 2005 review of the Z-560's ...its heading towards 2011 now and these speakers are still pumping out amazing sound as they did when they were new. They are at least 10 years old and I'm sorry to see they are no longer available but Logitech as a brand has developed quite a reputation for quality. Their new Z THX certified series (Z-2300's, Z-5300's, Z-5500's) will hold up and perform well, too.

  • Excerpt: I got this speaker set over a year ago as a refurbed item. I did a lot of research to find the most
  • Pros: Great sound, long speaker wires, wall-mountable satellite speakers, subwoofer really booms.
  • Cons: Retail is alitle pricey, but refurb is an option at half the price.

Worth every penny. Use it right, it will work great.

Rudy Canosa "LA LA", Amazon
18 October 2004
  • Summary: I bought mine refurbished(...). I figure mine is probably one of the unit some dim bulb blew out, and Logitech fixed it. I have the volume turned up 60% on my PC. I turn off any effects since I want my sound natural. I turn the bass all the way down and use the 4.1 from my sound. The sound gets extremely loud at only 30% on the knob, that's with only 60% on the OS volume.

It goes BOOM!

M. Walker, Amazon

  • Summary: Great speaker setup. It's wonderful. I love them, and hate to listen to music on anything but them. With that little bit out of the way, let's try a better, more balanced review. I've read some of the other reviews, and they make good points. The key to getting good results out of this product is attention to details. Make sure that you go through and set up everything properly. Make sure the sound options are setup correctly on your computer.

  • Excerpt: I couldn't have possibly imagined the quality of these speakers.
  • Pros: THX isn't just a marketing gimmick. Subwoofer isn't boomy or thumpy.
  • Cons: Single Driver speakers lack midrange strength.

High-Quality Speakers

Jay, Amazon
18 May 2004
  • Summary: I bought these speakers in December 2003 as an early Christmas present to myself. I was intending to buy a cheap 2.0 speaker setup for my Sony CD walkman. I went to CompUSA(But didn't buy from them) to check prices, power, frequency responses, and other criteria. The store had many speaker systems set up for availiable testing. I, being intrigued with the speakers on display(and their high prices) tested them out.

Obviously!

B. J. Nisely, Amazon
2 January 2004
  • Summary: Yeah, best speakers ever owned. I have had them for 3 months with no problems. I have a really good idea though. Instead of using all four channels for the computer only, I hooked up the rear channels to my clock radio. Its really easy, it has separate input cables for the front and rear. Using monster wire made it about 10% clearer. Very deep bass that hits very well for a 8" sub, you would swear it is a 12. Simple, easy, just hook it up and go.
