Summary: I have had the Logitech Z560 for about 6 - 7 years now and up until last month I enjoyed the hell out of the speakers. The sound quality from the speakers is amazing hence the reason I never bothered to upgrade them all these years.
Excerpt: I was originally looking to purchase the Klipsch 2.1 THX system as a local merchant had dropped the price to $99.00. As it happened they were sold out, and by chance I dropped by a garage sale later that day and low and behold, found these sitting there for, get this, $20.00.
Pros: Power, clarity, good bass even at low listening levels
Cons: Non so far except I almost got a hernia carrying the subwoofer.

Summary: Update 2010; Read my review of Z-2300's and this update to my 2005 review of the Z-560's ...its heading towards 2011 now and these speakers are still pumping out amazing sound as they did when they were new.
Summary: I have had these speakers for 2 years now and they are awesome. Let's do the Pro and Con list and hopefully I will get some helpful votes: Pro: Look Cool Has a volume knob Headphone jack (which turns off speakers when pluged in) Fade (surround sound) Knob Bass Knob 400 watts THX Logitech (great...
Summary: The speakers are perhaps the best value out there for computer speakers. I use them with an SB Audigy Gamer and they sound terrific in games and music. I tend to listen to classical music, which is generally pretty difficult for speakers because of its intricacies, but the Z560s handle it quite...
Pros: Not compatible with speaker stands, high-gauge standard wire
Cons: Not compatible with speaker stands, high-gauge standard wire
Excerpt: I bought this system 5 months ago, it worked well the whole time until last week. The sub started cutting in and out and then it just died. So now I have a set of speakers with a broken sub and can't replace them because logitech won't honor the warranty from the online store i bought it from.
Pros: Sounds good for a little while.
Cons: Heavy, short wires, Becomes 50lbs worth of junk in short time.
Excerpt: I got this speaker set over a year ago as a refurbed item. I did a lot of research to find the most bang for my buck and this system definitely delivers. The subwoofer is so powerful I usually keep it on 1. The sound is great and the satellite speakers can be wall mounted.
Pros: Great sound, long speaker wires, wall-mountable satellite speakers, subwoofer really booms.
Cons: Retail is alitle pricey, but refurb is an option at half the price.
Excerpt: Everyone is right about the sound quality. It is awesome. However, at certain frequencies the subwoofer puts off a VERY audible and annoying rattling. It's like the port is not attached well enough to the housing on the sub. I called tech support and they (to my surpirse) sent me out another.
Worth every penny. Use it right, it will work great.

Summary: I bought mine refurbished(...). I figure mine is probably one of the unit some dim bulb blew out, and Logitech fixed it. I have the volume turned up 60% on my PC. I turn off any effects since I want my sound natural. I turn the bass all the way down and use the 4.1 from my sound.
