Summary: I have had my Z560 speakers for over 10 years. I had bought them when they were called "Klipsch killers," and they retain that title. The sound is well-balanced, with bright highs, warm mids, and a resounding bass that just satisfies. If you care for your speakers, thy will last you as they did me.
Summary: Always check for the RMS total wattage. Peak wattage means nothing! This set delivers, because it is rated at 400w RMS, including an 8" subwoofer at 200w RMS. The sub can shake the room, and the speakers have good sound clarity. The control knobs are simple and easy to use, and also glow blue and green. I purchased this set in 2005, and they are still going strong! I like how the speakers can be mounted on the wall due to the reversible bottom.
Z560 Lives On! With help of Memphis Audio replacement sub

Summary: I have had the Logitech Z560 for about 6 - 7 years now and up until last month I enjoyed the hell out of the speakers. The sound quality from the speakers is amazing hence the reason I never bothered to upgrade them all these years. Last month however while blasting the speakers to a bass beat showing off to friends (as I had done in past many many times) the foam around the speaker popped resulting in a rip that extended about 1/3 around the speaker.
Summary: This speaker system and every other Logitech speaker system I've bought - the main plug that goes into the subwoofer always goes bad. There are too many pins and eventually one or more does not make good contact. It is nearly impossible to repair. While these speakers sound good, they always ed up in the garbage thus many landfills must be overflowing with these things. I've learned my lesson the hard way.
Summary: good product, not what i expected though. below expectations this product was made up to be way more than it actually is. there are better products that are on the product for the same price or that are less that are better quality
Summary: Basically the best 4.1 system out there for a computer. Considering the price, it's an absolute steal. The bass is low and true, the highs clean and clear. Buying anything else would just be silly and excessive. Klipsch speakers offer similar quality but at about 175% the price. Save yourself some cash and make the smart choice!
Summary: I purchased Logitech Z560 over 4 years ago and have loved it ever since. There was one minor issue with it not long after I bought it, but Logitech was very quick to send me replacement parts (of course at no charge). Unfortunately, the speakers have recently failed in the past week, but this was not flaw with the audio system. Rather, I made the mistake of plugging in a headset that had a cheap audio plug that broke off inside the audio jack.
Summary: logitech now makes a 5.1 set(with more powerfull satelites), where they seem to have corrected the design problems of the z-560. I've owned two sets(rma'd the first one after the sub blew, and the satelites stopped working, and they arent cheap to ship), and you really need not to push bass too high if you want them to last. There's a basic cooling problem with these, and without ACTIVE cooling on the rear heatsink(on the sub) it will blow.
Logitech Z560 Speakers "Still Awesome After 10 Years"

Summary: Update 2010; Read my review of Z-2300's and this update to my 2005 review of the Z-560's ...its heading towards 2011 now and these speakers are still pumping out amazing sound as they did when they were new. They are at least 10 years old and I'm sorry to see they are no longer available but Logitech as a brand has developed quite a reputation for quality. Their new Z THX certified series (Z-2300's, Z-5300's, Z-5500's) will hold up and perform well, too.
