Summary: After owning this system for two years, the wireless rear speaker stopped connecting to the receiver. The solution in the product manual doesn't work and logitech support can't provide a solution. If you're willing to mail in your receiver they will offer to give you up to 50% off the z-5500.
Summary: i bought this home theater refurnished in pretty good condition with warranty. i'm glad i bought both because i had a problem that was annoying. there was a buzz and humming noise coming from one of the right front speakers and it bugged.

Summary: I'm no audiophile, so the sound is definitely good enough for me. Upon first impression I was glad to be liberated of the cables running to my rear speakers. However after awhile I realized how these speakers retained such a flawless connection.
Great sound, little annoyances, then died in 11 months

Summary: I purchased a refurbished unit, and the subwoofer was dead. I sent it back for an exchange, and included the control unit just in case. They replaced the control unit as well, and the new one could not be paired with the wireless speakers.
Impressive room-filling sound PLUS wireless satellites

Summary: So far I am happy with the sound thumping from the Logitech Z-5450 speaker system attached to my aging computer system. A new Mac purchase will include digital audio output. For now I am listening to stereo iTunes music enhanced by the Dolby Pro Logic II Music feature effect with "Panorama" enabled.
Summary: Chose the 5450 over the better rated 5500 because of the wireless rear speakers, and when the front right channel went out I wanted to get a replacement but was told by Logitech that they don't make them anymore.
