Summary: Reasonable quality music reproduction with a minimal footprint. The sound emminates from the speakers much more blended in the room, making the music a great deal more lifelike. Better than adequate, I'm rather enjoying them!
Summary: My primary use for these speakers is at work, my radio broke and considering most of the stations I listen to stream online I figured why not just use my laptop and find myself a decent set of speakers. So I came across the Logitech Z-5, which seemed to be receiving pretty positive reviews but the thing that caught my eye(aside from the omnidirectional sound)was that they were USB powered, essentially eliminating the power cords(less clutter is always a plus:).
Summary: These are great speakers. I got them for less than $30 on eBay, so I got a pretty good deal, but I would literally easily pay the MSRP price (i think their like $80) because no matter where you are in the room, you have great sound (you dont have to be facing the speakers because of the omni-directional output). Another great thing about these speakers is that you dont need any power source to run them because it plugs right into the USB port.
Summary: These are amazing sounding speakers, but like many others the remote was DOA. I didn't bother returning it since it is connected to my laptop anyways and I just use the software based volume control. Don't buy this product for a controller!
Summary: Great speakers! Delivering crispy clear sound within (amazingly!) deep bass! I wouldn't call 'em exactly 'surround sound' like, but pretty close to that notion. Remote control (bit bigger than a cigarette lighter) and USB hook-up are a huge plus. Highly recommend 'em to anyone who's tight on budget, but, at the same time, really appreciates and understands true sound quality. Being ass-kicking loud ain't always mean being good. Agree?
Summary: Great Speakers with great sound quality. I want to manually change the sound, but I cant. I either have to use the remote (which I must say is nice) or use my sound volume on the computer. It is very sleek not to be able to change the sound on the speaker itself, but not very convenient. But the main thing is the great sound quality.
Summary: I have a MacBook Pro and wanted some speakers for when I an at my home desk. These speakers were on sale and I decided to give them a try. I have been very pleased with the sound quality and the look. The volume doesn't go quite as loud as I sometimes like, but it sufficiently fills the room. I have to remember that they aren't running through an amplifier, rather just out of the USB port on a laptop.
Summary: I purchased these speakers because they were the first experiment in being able to have sound for DVD presentations at a small Rotary Club meeting (+/- 50 people). The USB connection was the key because a separate amplifier would just add to the cumbersome load to transport. These speakers do the trick. They are loud enough to provide clear 360 audio. Of course they could be louder but the limits of power are from USB. Delighted with the sound and the price.
Summary: These small, unobtrusive speakers put out a generous, full sound at a remarkably low price and add a whole new dimension to my laptop use. They're not meant to be portable but they are lightweight and convenient. My stereo system is awaiting a build-in that may not happen any time soon, and now when guests come I plug in my collection of iTunes. The sound is surprisingly good.
Summary: Logitech is a great brand you can usually trust. The sound quality is great on these speakers, especially the surround aspect. The remote makes it easy to control volume from afar. I was a little worried about installation, but that was a cinch.
