Subwoofer placement is critical - then they can be great.

T. Kramer "at the beach", Amazon
3 April 2004
  • Summary: I was really excited to replace my Harman Kardon sub/sats that came with the Dell.... the truth is the HK's were actually really pretty darn good. But I thought I'd make the leap to something better. The Z3's came, I unpacked them, and hooked them up.

Great speakers, a couple of minor problems

Civiltongue, Amazon
24 January 2004
  • Summary: I'm delighted to have these excellent speakers. They perform superbly, with crystal clarity all the way up to the maximum volume I can sustain in my thin-walled apartment. Although I'm going to bring up two negative issues, don't get the idea that I'm not super-happy with this purchase.

the best speakers $25 can buy

Kaveh H. Tehrani, Amazon
24 January 2004
  • Summary: I paid $25 for these speakers. they were $35 with a $10 mail-in rebate from Logitec. I waited about a month till the price got that low, they usually sell around $50. Initially I wanted to get the creative I-Trigue 3300 which is about $80 but it sounds great; However, getting these for 25 is a much...

audioJunkie, Amazon
24 January 2004
  • Summary: Well, I have had these speakers for about 4 months and I am pretty happy with their performance. Use them with my laptop, TV, PS2 everything sounds great, and here's a gist of what I think of the overall performance Pros: - Sub is very powerful, can rock a small room like my bedroom, nothing like...

Great Price, although super boomy bass

A. Kuo, Amazon
24 January 2004
  • Summary: I got these about half a year ago to replace an old caimbridge soundworks 5.1 system which would have taken up too much space in my new dorm room. The speakers weren't of the same quality, but I also ended up paying about 1/5th the price. Nevertheless, the two sattelite speakers are decent.

2nd set thumps!!!!

trisdawg, Amazon
24 January 2004
  • Summary: The first set sounded great, except for songs w/ a lot of bass. Left speaker rattled a little. Sent it back & got replacement set within 5 days. Awesome. 2nd set sounds great. Deserves 5 stars, but it gets a 4 due to the defective 1st set. A steal for $35 - $10 mir & free shipping.

good sound to price ratio

itedin, Amazon
24 January 2004
  • Summary: For the price, these speakers rock. I'm really enjoying the satellite volume controller. One thing I'm not fond of is the PS2 type connection on the woofer, if it's bumped or slightly jiggled, the sound can cut in and out on the speakers. Overall, I definitely recommend these speakers.

Good speakers, good service

Audio Phil, Amazon
24 January 2004
  • Summary: These speakers are designed to sit on a desktop, but they can do much more than that. These speakers aren't going going to wake up your landlord, but for the money are an excellent investment.

Hit and miss

JK, Amazon
23 January 2004
  • Summary: I must say the actual sound quality is better than I expected, but the build quality not so much. In the beginning, this unit was succeptible to startlingly loud static whenever the cables or the unit itself gut bumped.
