Summary: I have owned two of these systems and they both failed the same way. One of the two outputs (which go to the smaller speakers) on the woofer failed. Once that happens, the system is pretty much useless. Just before I threw them out, I tried to get the back off to see if a wire came loose or something. However, not all the screws on the back will come out (or put another way, I cannot get them out).
Summary: Bought this system 3 years ago, was blown away with the sound quality. Less than a year later one of the speakers starts making noises and then dies. Logitech replaces this system, but because this system has been discontinued, with Z623. The replacement system is not match to the Z2300 and a year later it starts giving me problems. I have not had good experience with Logitech.
Pros: High Specs, Powerfull Bass Can Really pump up the volume with little distortion to deafening levels. Warranty for 2yrs, and hopefully good after sales service. Well built , you can expect them not to go silent suddenly without any reason.
Cons: Sound quality for music is Horrible. If music is priority, don't ever buy these. Bass is quite boomy and not sharp (lacks punch) although powerfull. When listening to music, after 30min or so you start feeling irritated by the lack of quality.
Summary: I bought these speakers because they are hailed as the best 2.1 system. How ever once i got everything set up and turned them on i was stunned by how horrible they sounded. i played with EQ settings for 3 days hunting for some mid range sound. with no luck. the bass is way to heavy. the whole system distorts heavily when turned up over half way. in summery these speakers sound dull and lifeless. there is no warmth to them at all.
Pros: The sound is ok, but not worthy of a top cnet rating.
Cons: Logitech WILL NOT replace the corded remote or sell you a new one if yours has issues. I have contacted them multiple times about this, as have many others. I now Have >$100 speakers that are totally useless due to a short in the corded remote!
Once you break the wired remote, you're out of luck.

Summary: These speakers have a very bad flaw in their design, namely, that the audio cable attached to the wired remote is irreplaceable. If you stretch the cable while plugging it into an audio jack, you are out of luck because Logitech does not sell replacement wired remotes separately. I now have $150 of worthless speakers sitting in my room.
Cons: Terrible sound. Two small speakers that sound all tinny and a very big woofer that sounds like a ghetto mobile driving down the street with excess vibration. There is no mid-range sound and the woofer and speakers dont match up.
Pros: The only things worthy to note that are positive? easy install (just plug them in), and for those that like overwhelming, rattle your brains out bass, the bass is powerful (even though it's "dead").
Cons: We're old hippies (both musicians, me classically trained, him, rock n' roll), and we haven't heard speakers this bad since the ones in our 1974 purple Gremlin.
