The stow-away MP3 cradle makes the Logitech X-240 speakers more than just a great speaker system for your computer. Connect your digital audio player with the included auxiliary cable, or use your own USB/power cable to sync, charge and play digital music from your iPod, Zune, PDA or mobile phone. Dynamic, real-time bass equalization maximizes bass response from the down-firing subwoofer while high-excursion drivers provide rich sound from the slim, stylish satellites. Read more

I purchased these speakers at Fry Electronics and for the price you cannot beat these speakers. I purchased them for 14.99 and they also had a $20 mail in rebate. So in the end I ended up gaining $5 from this purchase. The speakers have decent sound quality for such a small size. Don't go expecting to receive Hi-Fi Audiophile quality, but they do get the job done and are perfect size for a small room or dorm. Read more

The speakers produced a hum whenever they are turned on (I tried moving them away from the computer and all electronic equipment, but the hum was still there). Logitech tech support said this was not normal and I returned the speakers for a replacement. The second pair did exactly the same thing. This time I returned them for a refund. Yes, the hum is partly covered by the noise of the fan of my desktop computer, but it is louder than that. It bothered me sleeping at... Read more

I have been using a pair on these on my computer, and they work wonderfully. Loud, but not wake the neighboors loud, and its not all together 5 watts. Its 5 watts per speaker (10w,) and 15 for the sub, so altogether 25 watts. These speakers seem to have a sweet spot about 3/4 the way up, any higher and they start to distort. Rock/pop/county all distort at high volume on these, but rap seems to do pretty good. Ipod holder comes with brakets to fit any ipod, zune or... Read more

I'm a poor grad student. Masters in Classical composition. I use a macbook pro, Sibellius and other pro music software. The Logitech reproduces my compositions perfectly with clear bass and treble definition. A great and affordable setup. Read more

Plug it in, connect to your computer or MP3 player, turn it on - decent quality sound comes out, and that was all I was looking for. It doesn't take up much room on the desktop, the cables are long enough to allow me to place all the components in convenient places, and the sound quality is good enough for me (at age 61, my hearing may not allow me to notice any sonic shortcomings). My only comment is the cheesy MP3 player "holder" on the control unit. It's not a real... Read more
