Summary: These speakers were a good choice for me. I am picky about the range and quality of sound. Well, when you need desktop speakers you know you will compromise on perfect sound. That's just the way it is. I read how the creators of these speakers try to compensate for these types of deficiencies.
Summary: perhaps I'm just easily impressed (all I've had before were those cheapo $10 throw-aways), but these speakers are just below some rigs I've heard using full out amp/sub-woofer combos. overall really good speakers, but you may be able to do better for the $70 they are asking for them now.
Pros: -good sound quality and tone range. -bass adjustment knob. really good feature, I use this all the time -long cords. you can put these just about anywhere near your rig and plug it in easily. -nice volume range too.
Cons: at the $30 I got these for, they were an absolute steal. now that they are priced at $70, they have some competition.
Summary: One would think that as a design gets older, the price would go down because of how out-dated it is. I bought these speakers in January of 2013 and for much less than half of what they are now.
Pros: I bought these speakers for 24 bucks on this site when they were on sale marked down from 30. The fact that they're 70 bucks now kind of says a few things.
Cons: Price jump. I was planning on getting a set of these for my girlfriends dad but this is a little out of his price range now. The price I paid almost two years ago for these same speakers would have been worth it.
Summary: Very good sound quality from this set of speakers. I recently bought a Sirius XM home satellite radio, and needed some inexpensive speakers to hook up to the radio. I was very pleased when I received these, and saw that they were a good quality product. They put out plenty of sound.
Summary: after reading all the reviews I thought great just what I need. But find them less than desirable. They work but have no depth and the sound is less than desirable. the volumn is controlled by the TV control. So they work and if your not into great sound...they are ok You get what you pay for
