Summary: The v20 logitech speakers are a good all around sounding LAPTOP speaker set. they are very practical to use with function controls on the speaker like :volume, mute, play, stop, ff, rev and to beat it all they are completely plug and play. no software and they have one cord that connects to your computer that is a single usb cable and it transfers the sound to the speakers with that and it also powers the internal amp in the speakers. all in all a+ for form and function.
Summary: I needed a new set of usb speakers and went with this V20. When I got it I was a bit shocked at the size. These are a bit large to considerd it protable but I have a git bag so I did not make a big deal of it. What had me was the sound. It sounds great. Way better than my last set. The bottons are a little stiff but they work great. Big speakers and Big sound. Worth every penny!
Summary: These speakers are relatively good considering they are USB powered. The thing I don't like about them is that I have a Sigmatel High Definition Audio sound card by Creative labs and it allows me to customize my sound through the regular built in notebook speakers. However, it won't let me customize my sound when using the V20 speakers. Perhaps my sound card can work through adapter powered speakers like the Creative Gigaworks t20.
Very impressed! Even better than some "desktop" speakers out there.

Summary: I was bit skeptic at first of some poor reviews claiming this to have poor sound - they must be SUPER picky or their sound card must be messed up. I just got these speakers and I'm VERY impressed. These sound better than Logitech's X-240 2.1 speakers -- which is made for desktops -- and these "laptop speakers" actually sound way better than those! The X-240 sounds so muffled compared to these.
Summary: These speakers sound very good for their size. The physical design is superb. They are compact and come with a great hardshell carrying case that's a little smaller than a typical text book. They sound very good up to about 80% power. After that, they start to distort a little. These are perfect to use when ambient noise is not too loud and you want to power your sound via your computer's USB port.
Excellent considering the design constraints...and they work w/ Linux too....

Summary: Sound quality is very good, not having another power adapter is great, and these are small and light enough to easily carry them in a pocket of my laptop case. I've also experienced the distortion and "speaker dancing" at high volume like other reviewers, but feel these things are reasonable given the very light weight and that the power available from the USB port is limited...
