Summary: Purchased through Amazon for $40, though I see that they are up to around $55 now. They are certainly a step up in both sound quality and volume to built-in notebook speakers, and I like not having to plug in another bulky ac adapter into my already crowded power strip. The included case is a nice feature as well. Don't expect stellar sound reproduction here though. Obviously low end frequencies suffer the most with such small speakers.
Summary: I am satisfied overall with the sound quality. I like the USB connection, and the good news is that no need for batteries and no power cord! This is a plus when you want to buy a portable speaker set. The speakers have the tendency to bounce and move on my desk. The cord connecting the two speakers is a bit short but you can live with it.
Summary: So far I've been underwhelmed by the product, but I'm not at all sure it's because of the product or my laptop. After listening to a variety of small portable iPod speakers in the Apple store, I expected a similar result from this unit but did not find that to be true. Also, I get a bit of popping and noise from the USB supplied audio, and I've read in other reviews that this can be a problem with laptop computers and USB sound.
