Summary: Logitech Could Have Added A Slide Out Platform To Accommodate A Mouse.
Pros: High Quality Sound. Keeps Laptop Cool But It Is Still Winter. All In All A Very Good Product.
Cons: No Software for Volume Control or Drivers. I had to spend about 30+ min installing this hardware in Vista. Software Would Have Made The Install Much Quicker & Easier. There Is No Room On The N700 To Navigate Even A Small Mouse.
Summary: What you have is a unit that's a bit too big, a bit too heavy, that places all of it's weight along a ridge, the compatibility issues of USB audio out which is funky across different systems (Chromebooks, Macs). That said it's speakers are PHENOMENAL for the $65 I paid.
Pros: Surprisingly great speakers. Almost shocking, really. They are the [only] reason to buy this. It's also fairly attractive and seems of high quality.
Cons: The way the top portion is a big ridge to tilt the unit forwards while on your lap. This looks like a great idea, but in reality puts all of the weight (and it's very bulky) onto that ridge rather than dissipating it across your lap, which is a bit uncomfortable. Also it currently only works some...
Summary: While I like this pad very much, I don't think I'll be getting it. If I was using an average laptop and wanted some added comfort with some great speakers and a little extra cooling I'd get it. But, I'm using a laptop that's meant for high end graphics and runs hot.
Pros: I don't own one of these. I was looking at it to possibly go with an HP DV7T Laptop I'm getting for school. However, a friend let me borrow his for a week to test it out. The speakers are pretty awesome. They're loud, and have great audio. It could use a little more cush for the padding but the c...
Cons: It's expensive. At the time I'm writing this you could get it cheaper if you bought it directly from Logitech. Newegg says their prices can change though so I don't know. Point is though I feel it's over priced for what you get, or hope to get. My friend uses his to cool a Tochiba Quismo. The Qui...
Summary: Overall this is probably the best lappad I have found. However that doesn't mean it couldn't use some upgrades. They really need to fix the padding on the bottom. It's quite hard and after awhile can be a bit uncomfortable.
Pros: Cooling Fan, Quiet, Decent speakers. No Software.
Cons: Fan is weak, Pad is a bit too hard. No software to select which speakers to use (ie the laptops, or the pads).
Summary: If you have a laptop with both awful speakers and a heating problem, this will cure both of those problems right up. If all you need is a cooling pad, there are others out there that will get the job done. For me, there was no other company making a combination speaker/laptop pad.
Pros: Bought this for my Asus G1S laptop which has AWFUL speakers that I can't even hear over the sound of the fan trying to cool down the overheating Geforce 9500 GPU (sigh). The speakers are loud, clear, and sound great. I can now enjoy watching movies and tv on my laptop again. The speakers are USB ...
Cons: The crummy plastic clips on the front of the pad are just that, crummy plastic clips. I don't dare flip them up because I know the weight of my laptop will eventually crack them right off. This causes the laptop to creak forward if my legs are propped up and can be quite annoying. The weak clips ...
Summary: The Audio Connection Fred is referring to is located next to the fan in the center BOTTOM of the device, coverd by a tight fitting RUBBER SNAP in rubber block, and is NOT MENTIONED anywhere in the LOGITECH literature nor is their TECH support even aware of it.
Summary: Good try from Logitech , and there is really nothing similar to it, on the market.....and "that" might be the most telling indication that this is not something anyone would want to copy. Take the 70 bucks and buy a 10 rigid laptop cooler and a set of headphones. You will be much happier.
Pros: Not many........... Well actually none.
Cons: The USB connection from the back of the device feeds power to the built in fan and the speakers. The USB non-detachable cable is VERY SHORT even with a 17.3 inch HP. VERY! The unit is molded to a curve in the rear and is VERY heavy and the padding VERY hard with not much cush in it. 15 minutes wi...
Summary: the audio port is located under the cooling pad it should be placed on side near the volume so that a short audio cord is all that is needed. i am using it with a netbook but its really for a full size laptop. but my netbook runs windows 7 and it had to reboot for audio to work.
Pros: awesome little cooling device for the laptop. speakers are excellent and the cooling fan is a nice touch. speakers get loud enough to fill the room with sound. thats not what i bought it for. i bought it for the bed to watch movies and not suffocate the laptop by not allowing it to breath and the...
Cons: does not come with the audio wire!!!!!!!!!!! its almost perfect i have a 6ft audio cord and its all over the place. you will need no more than a 2ft audio cord.
