Problems

Adam A., Newegg
23 October 2014
  • Summary: This set of speakers came with the left speaker blown, right out of the box. Within 2 days they also developed a short in the headphone-plug. Keeping the volume lower, and using a rubber-band to address the short, they've worked well for a couple of years.
  • Pros: Price, subwoofer
  • Cons: Quality

These things suck!!!

Glenn B., Newegg
12 November 2012
  • Summary: Not a real big disappointment for me. I bought these as a cheap solution. Learned my lesson and spent a little more on the next 2.1 setup
  • Pros: They CAN output sound.
  • Cons: Sub blew a few days after initial setup. The other two speakers that came with it still worked, but sounded terrible.

Mine just died

Joe, MacMall
22 April 2011
  • Conclusion: If you want to buy this system every 18 months then the sound is good. Unfortunately the power for the speakers is wired through the woofer and the woofer just stopped woofing although the speakers are ok so I'm again looking for a new system.

RATTLE RATTLE

James, Amazon
11 November 2009
  • Summary: My first moment of confusion was due to the unnecessary in-line device with a volume control, power switch, and extra cables extending mic and line out jacks. I couldn't understand why I needed all this extra junk on my desk when I already had it right there on my computer, so I chopped it all out...

Sound decent for the price, cheaply made

Drive-In Kid, Amazon
24 July 2009
  • Summary: I bought these a few months back, I was pretty pleased with the sound quality given the price, but now the wires are shorting out and one side isn't working at all.

Good, but a little low on volume

El Buitre, Amazon
20 February 2009
  • Summary: I like the sound from these speakers, but for some reason I feel like the volume does not go as high as I would like it. When I connect it to my ipod, I have to crank the ipod volume to the max in order to get a good level.

promising but disappointing

Amazon Customer, Amazon
10 February 2009
  • Summary: With the majority of reviews positive, I took a chance at some cheap speakers. Unfortunately, my hunch was correct. The two tiny speakers only put out tinny, high frequency sound. While the sub provides "adequate" bass, there is such a gap in mid-range frequency the speakers and sub don't even seem...

bad quality

A Lianos, Amazon
19 March 2014
  • Summary: Really bad sound quality for their price is all I have to say. The volume control is also very lightweight just moves around. I returned mine in a week.
