Summary: I'd been using a broken speaker system for nearly 6 months. Down to one, mono speaker and a 7 year old subwoofer, I thought to myself... it's time for an upgrade. So I ordered this system. It was low profile, easy on the eyes and even came with a "powered" sub. When it arrived, I tore it open and set it up. Turned the bass dial all the way up, started playing one of my favorite songs, and got nothing but treble. I thought maybe the subwoofer was broken.
Summary: Don't be as stupid as me and buy this! The subwoofer sounds like a hollow basket can, and the sattelites at very unclear. It sounds like I am listening to music through a wall, and the volume power is very poor. This is waste of money, even for those that want quality and not volume power it fails great on both!
Summary: I bought these as a replacement for some freebies someone gave me and the freebies (VERY cheap ones) sounded better. In the LS21's, the amp that powers the left and right speaker is sub-standard . . . pure distortion around the 200hz range. For some reason, this system feeds the full range of sound into the L/R speakers which totally defeats the reason for having a subwoofer.
Summary: I was looking for a nice loud sound to replace my old logitech speakers which the sub was broken and I loved, but these are seriously disappointing. Not even worth the 26 dollars I spent on them. The monitors are somewhat okay, they have a pretty good sound quality, but not much umph at all. and oh god...the sub is awe-full. It doesn't complement any of the music, but just blasts a low beat repeatedly and it's not even that good of a beat. Pitiful even.
