Excerpt: Does not work with windows 8. i called logitech support and they were useless, tried realtek sound card upgrades and that didnt work, also tried contacting windows 8 and it did not lead to any fixes. definitly not a plug and play for a windows 8 OS.
Excerpt: The 1st one I purchased had to be taken back because the subwooferwas not working. I returned it and was not pleased with the sound. I checked all settings and all were turned up to the highest volume settings but it always felt like the sound still needed to be turned up higher! Not pleased going to return for a different brand. The price was right but the return did not meet my expectations.
Excerpt: A victory of form over function. Clever design cannot mask horribly cheap components. These speakers sound awful, and the cord between speakers and the subwoofer isn't long enough to, say, put them in different areas, like one on a bookshelf next to the desk. The result is that the subwoofer has to go under the table or get piled on the desk with the rest of it. This means a tremendous amount of clutter. Next time I'll spend the money for something much better.
Summary: I'd been using a broken speaker system for nearly 6 months. Down to one, mono speaker and a 7 year old subwoofer, I thought to myself... it's time for an upgrade. So I ordered this system. It was low profile, easy on the eyes and even came with a "powered" sub. When it arrived, I tore it open and set it up. Turned the bass dial all the way up, started playing one of my favorite songs, and got nothing but treble. I thought maybe the subwoofer was broken.
Summary: These speakers suck, plain and simple. The sound is grainy and distorted at moderate volume. At full volume... Well you can't even tell they are at full volume because they are so low. When I "blast" them up I can barely hear them from 15 feet away. My laptop speakers are actually louder and better quality so there's no point of even having these connected. What a waste of money.
