Pros: When I bought these they cost $30, and I got $30 speakers. They let me listen to music, etc. without headphones, and they haven't disintegrated yet.
Cons: The audio quality is nothing special. Also, the microphone jack on the external volume control doesn't have a corresponding speaker jack, so if you usually wear a non-usb headset, you're going to have to keep plugging it in in the back when you switch.
Summary: Quick review: I got this set of speakers in 2008. Now, 7 years later, they still work great! I love the red-retro look. The only problem is that wires get tangled and sometimes the sound would only work on one speaker, either left or right, alternating. I have to move the wires ever so often.
Summary: 1 star means I hate it. I don't hate it at all. It gets the job done, but did not last more than a year. I keep these speakers plugged into my laptop dock. I could tell the quality was poor when I first heard it ( did not expect much from "free speakers" that came with antivirus protection).
Summary: Works great still after years of daily use. DO NOT place these in a high traffic area, the cords cannot handle being moved or bumped. I suspect they still work for me because they haven't moved from their spot in years.
