Summary: I got these in December 2008. I move around 2-4 times a year as a college student, and these are still running great. The headset/volume dock is amazing and one of the main reasons for the purchase. Playing games a lot and switching my headset in and our in a dorm setting was more annoying than ever, so the dock made it very convenient. The volume control feels very smooth. and being able to adjust each speaker allows for very good sound control.
Summary: Great speakers for the price. If you're looking for a system that will easily fill your living room with high quality music for under $100, this is the system to get! The matrix panel included automatically divides the song's frequencies into highs mids and lows and distributes them to the speakers they need to go to - great feature. Great for college students or gamers.
Summary: most people want to buy speaker without upgrade any computer parts (sound card), so you can try logitech G51: the understanding speaker, because the speaker system can produce good quality of sound although you're using standard sound card, i.e. on board sound card. understanding means not require performance sound card, and also the speaker system has matrix mode, make the sound better with increase the rear channel volume, but remember: the sound card must support 5.1...
Summary: I ordered these so I could finally have a 5.1 setup for my PC at home and it sounds amazing no matter what, whether I'm playing games or listening to music. My only complaint is that the speakers do not really get that loud at all in my opinion, I mean it will do I guess, but the old Creative 2.1 speakers that I had for a very long time before I ordered these were much louder with good audio quality.
Summary: I took a long while to decide on what my next set of speakers would be. I was using a cheap ($40) set that I bought at a vendor show 5 yrs ago. They worked fine but I knew I could do much better. I finally decided to go with the G51s and I am not sorry. The sound quality is more than adequate for what I do which is listening to mp3s, playing some games, and watching the occasional movie.
Summary: As others have pointed out the cables on the speakers could be longer, I had to extend two of them to get everything connected in my small office. Overall the speakers sound good, although there is definitely room for improvement especially in the mid-range. It would have been nice to see a larger element in the the satellites. The control module is fantastic, well weighted so it stays where it's put and provides convenient control over the system.
Summary: Logitech is known for creating great products, so going with this 5.1 setup was a no-brainer. The price was amazing and I wasn't looking for anything mind blowing. I got what I expected. The speakers perform and the sub kicks some real power. If looking for a great 5.1 setup for a great price, you can't go wrong.
Summary: These speakers are a lot smaller than I thought they would be as shown on the product image. Still, they pack high quality sound and the bass is good, despite the subwoofer being almost half the size of my last one. My one huge complaint though - these are surround sound speakers Logitech - why are the cables so short!
Summary: These are quite honestly the best computer speakers I've ever own. The quality you come to expect from Logitech is only matched by their products performance. Pro's Central Control Pod which controls muting, volume, bass, and microphone - No more reaching around the CPU tower to plug/unplug my headset and microphone, or finding a mute button for whatever application I'm using. Its all right there at a convenient centrally located device.
