Summary: I got these in December 2008. I move around 2-4 times a year as a college student, and these are still running great. The headset/volume dock is amazing and one of the main reasons for the purchase.
Summary: I ordered these so I could finally have a 5.1 setup for my PC at home and it sounds amazing no matter what, whether I'm playing games or listening to music. My only complaint is that the speakers do not really get that loud at all in my opinion, I mean it will do I guess, but the old Creative 2.1...
Summary: I had a set of Cambridge 4.1 computer speakers, no center speaker. These replaced them. Better center channel coverage, less volume with slightly muddy base. The control pad - panel is good I am able to adjust the surround, base and center plus master volume.
Summary: I dont think there's any competition with respect to this 5.1 channel speaker for its price. The quality of sound is really outstanding. Being in the music field for so many years, I didnt expect a low cost system to sound so incredible.
Summary: Sent it back the first time because the mic mute button didn't work and was still not working on the second system I received... Starting to think that this is a general problem. Pros: * Great to spot enemies in your back (I play a lot of left 4 dead).
Summary: I don't come from a background of good speakers. Before this, I just had 2 little PC speakers that didn't produce enough sound to hear across the room. I'm not used to the amount of bass this thing produces. I'm hearing parts of songs I've never heard before. It's amazing!
Summary: I took a long while to decide on what my next set of speakers would be. I was using a cheap ($40) set that I bought at a vendor show 5 yrs ago. They worked fine but I knew I could do much better. I finally decided to go with the G51s and I am not sorry.
Summary: As others have pointed out the cables on the speakers could be longer, I had to extend two of them to get everything connected in my small office. Overall the speakers sound good, although there is definitely room for improvement especially in the mid-range.
Summary: Logitech is known for creating great products, so going with this 5.1 setup was a no-brainer. The price was amazing and I wasn't looking for anything mind blowing. I got what I expected. The speakers perform and the sub kicks some real power.
