Summary: Great system for the money. It sounds good, in an average size living room (that's how is mine). I use it on my laptop which doesn't have a 5.1 audio card, once it has a matrix mode it splits the low and the high frequencies, giving you a sensation of having a 5.1
Summary: Great speakers for the price. If you're looking for a system that will easily fill your living room with high quality music for under $100, this is the system to get! The matrix panel included automatically divides the song's frequencies into highs mids and lows and distributes them to the speakers they need to go to - great feature. Great for college students or gamers.
Summary: most people want to buy speaker without upgrade any computer parts (sound card), so you can try logitech G51: the understanding speaker, because the speaker system can produce good quality of sound although you're using standard sound card, i.e. on board sound card. understanding means not require performance sound card, and also the speaker system has matrix mode, make the sound better with increase the rear channel volume, but remember: the sound card must support 5.1...
Summary: I tried this set for my MacBook Pro to replace some really old Altec Lansings I used to use. I decided to go with these, because on Logitech's website, they say you don't need a surround sound card to use it. Well, that's not necessarily true. I bought and received it in the mail, hooked up ALL the wires, there ware a lot, and the sound was only coming aour of the 2 main speakers.
Excerpt: Not only do these speakers sound great but I think they look just as good as they sound. No one should be disappointed in the look because they will easily fit into any home office. They’ll impress your friends with their look and then the sound will knock their little socks off. If you should get these speakers you will not be disappointed with either their sound or their look and they are priced right!
Conclusion: Overall, Logitech’s G51 proved itself a worthy contender in the world of surround gaming audio. In general, Logitech has taken the right approach to designing a gaming audio system, by building a system that addresses the concerns of fidelity and dynamic range instead of going for cheap thrills like ‘boom and sizzle’. I was impressed by the system’s power, and its ability to deliver plenty of room-filling output from a compact package.
Pros: Impressive, slammin’ bass, Tons of power and clean output for its size, Stylish design, Thoughtful dual-mute feature, Good sound quality
Cons: Not particularly detailed sound, Sub can sound muddy when pushed
Summary: Wow! what a pair of speakers I have been really happy with this particular purchase as it has represented great value for money! The attractive appearance of the speakers was a highlight when buying them but I was worried about the brand and the sound quality. So if you're worried that Logitech isn't one of the great brands well known for speakers then there is really nothing to worry about!
