Should have bought warranty

Summary: Had searched for product for over a year and was delighted to finaly find it! I paid top price for the product and should have purchased a warranty! The item worked well for 3 weeks then stopped working! Now I am out theoney I paid and have a bunch of useless materials! It sucks when things don't work out! The warranty would have got my money back!
Summary: I just bought a pair of these speakers and I have to warn everyone to avoid them at all costs. They produce an unbelievable hiss, even when turned all the way down (the hiss is louder than my entire computer). I contacted Klipsch support and they acknowledged that there were known quality control issues with them and that's why they don't make them anymore. I'm still waiting to find out if they'll even replace them.
Summary: I bought these speakers based on my friends recommendation. He doesn't own a set, but he said he heard good things about them. Obviously he mis-heard something. These speakers are horrible. I've never owned a set of speakers that made such a loud, annoying hissing, humming sound when it's on, but no sound is playing. Even when you put it in standby mode using the GMX controller, you can still hear the hissing sound.
Summary: I work in the media department at a local university. About a year ago, we purchased four sets of these speakers for use with low-end digital editing workstations. They've been a nightmare ever since. 4 of the 5 speaker systems have had to be RMA'd to Klipsch and replaced. 2 of those 4 have had the volume/control unit RMA'd at least 4 times (one has been replaced SIX times). The 5th unit, the only one that hasn't been replaced, just failed completely.
