Summary: I should first say that I really like these speakers. They sound great, though I won't claim they sound better than $30 speakers, because I probably couldn't tell the difference. I was surprised at the size of the sub, I was expecting/hoping for something that doesn't take up so much space.
Summary: Purchased at best buy, was about $75 cheaper. Got two year warranty because i read a couple reviews noting an issue with the connection of one of the speakers. These speakers sound AWESOME. Better than the $120 more expensive BOSE also on display. Bass is full and independently controlled along with volume so you can adjust to compensate for lower volumes. Speakers are more than youll ever need for a 15x15 room and if you so choose, the bass can be window rattling.
Summary: Buying online, I was not able to listen to Klipsch's competitors, so I can't say which are the best for the price (and with speakers, 'best' is relative as people's opinions on speakers are quite subjective). But as someone who is an audio nut, I can say these sound quite good for the money. Go to Klipsch's website site to see who 'exclusively' sells these speakers, they were 25% less there.
Summary: A true surround sound system if you have a sound card or receiver to send the 4 channel audio signal to it (if not you just get stereo sound). THX certified, uses Bash circuity for amplification. (2) 6.5" speakers in the sub is more total area than one 12" speaker. 400 watts allows plenty of power to the (4) satellite speakers. This system can't reproduce the lowest low like the Promedia 5.1 Ultra can but puts the Promedia 2.1 sub to shame.
