Summary: Although I will agree with the rave reviews about sound quality, the build is less than robust. I've had mine for 6 months and had the power supply suddenly blow. And I don't ever over drive these. Judging by my online research, this is a fairly common problem. Look on ebay and see how many units are broken and sold by pieces or 'as is' compared to functioning units. Failure rate is high.
Summary: So I really love these speakers. I've bought 3 sets of them. The speakers are excellent with good sound throughout. The problem is that both the headphone jack and the subwoofer jack are of very poor quality. They will fail *far* before the otherwise great speakers. I don't move my speakers around, they sit in one spot. Yet somehow the jacks still manage to fail.
Summary: Love the sound quality the price great set up. Really the best sound for a simple set up until entry level studio monitors. The reason for 2 stars is my control pod went out. (it's a well known, common issue with previous pro media 2.1 speakers.) I was very excited to see the offered a replacement. I received my replacement pod only to find out it was broken..... No luck contacting them. The only thing i have received in response is there monthly newsletter.
Summary: This product sounds simply amazing loud, sounds like LIVE, everything comes alive when turned up ....BUT...one channel is dead when the volume is at low level listening and who wants to rock out at 6 in the morning or 11 at night. I can buy a passive per amp to fine tune the volume but I would have to spend $300+ extra then I will be better off migrating to the Logitech Z623. This speaker system is good for the birds the way it performs right now.
Summary: Pros: The rich and crystal clear sound quality of these speakers is amazing (highs, mids and lows). If they could last, I would never have replaced them. Cons: 1. There is a known factory problem with the control board inside the woofer. Fuses and other components tend to overheat and melt or simply stop working after a while (from a few months to less then a year). This issue renders the entire system dead as no electricity can go to the speakers anymore.
Summary: I would rate this at 1 star but I think a lot of people would bypass a 1 star review in view of many 4 and 5 star reviews and I hope potential buyers will beware because of my review. I bought these speakers because they are wireless and because of the reviews. But I'm thinking those 4 and 5 star ratings came before Klipsch starting using overseas suppliers, i.e. Chinese junk. The good: These speakers sound great when they are working.
Summary: About three weeks ago I was trying to get something suitable for my Ears, well I started to search on Google something good and not to expensive and since the BOSE speakers are to overpriced I tried another alternative, so after searching and searching, clicking and clicking, I found a link that took me to Amazon, well after review some speakers like Logitech, Sony and Klipsch I decided and fallowing the excellent review to buy the Klipsch Promedia 2.1 Wireless, I was so...
Summary: I had a pair of the Klipsch 2.1 speakers for nearly 10 years before they died so I am a huge fan of these speakers. Even with the rage I am currently typing this review through I will say that the sound of the wireless version is just as impressive. HOWEVER... The strength of the wireless signal is utterly pathetic.
Summary: I can definitely see the potential in the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 Wireless Computer Speakers, hence the two stars. I ordered this product directly from the manufacturer. It arrived and appeared to be in intact; however, when I set it up, the subwoofer was totally D-E-A-D. The satellite speakers had a crisp, clear sound, and I was (and still am, to a degree) quite anxious to hear how the ProMedia really sounds.
Summary: I bought them driven mainly by the name and THX certification. Upon arrival they were upgraded with Monster Cable satellite cables (original cables are garbage) and... pretty good sound for the size. I mean, I heard a lot of them and being rather picky on the sound I have to admit that these soundED impressive...for the PC media speakers. That is where the positive ends, and it happened approx. in 1 year.
