Summary: The JBL Flip Wireless Bluetooth Speaker is first and foremost a great sounding speaker, much better than you would expect for the size and the price. Lows, kids, and highs are all great. It pairs relatively easily. One of the negatives of this bluetooth speaker is it only remembers one paired device. So if you are in a multiple device household, you will find it awkward going to the speaker and holding the bluetooth button to pair to a different device every time.

Summary: I was completely surprised when I turned it on for the first time. I have used a ton of these portable speakers, this is my first JBL product and I was blown away by the quality of the sound out of this thing. I have been using a iHome IDM8 for over a year and it has worked great. But the quality of the JBL over that one is worlds apart ! The IDM8 has good construction and sound for a Bluetooth speaker.
Summary: I was definitely impressed with the sound qualify of this little speaker. It's amazing what they can do today! I had purchased this speaker and a Jawbone Jambox to compare them both. I actually ended up keeping this unit. I preferred the sound quality of this speaker, not to mention it was $40 cheaper! Pairing with my device was very quick and easy. I haven't fully tested battery life, but I haven't had to recharge yet, so we'll see.
Very good for the price, but ended up going with Bose Soundlink Mini

Summary: I recently purchased the JBL Flip and the Bose Soundlink Mini to compare and keep, which i felt was better suited for me. Both are very good speakers and have more bass than most of the others around this size. I've only had the Flip for 2 days so haven't really tested the battery life much. The last 7 digits on in the serial code are - 046**** and I've had none of the bluetooth problems some users have experienced.
Summary: Absolutely the best sound under 250 bucks (but spring for the JBL CHARGE at 150 and get the missing battery life!) Other than the battery life (4stars), this beats BEATS and everybody else at 2X the price...I use it untethered to play background music for meetings (20-25 people) and even to play recorded audio (speech) to that sized group----then I crank the tunes for me. WOW---what a product..
Summary: When I opened the package, I was surprised how small this device was: about the size of a can of beer. Its heft gave me some assurance that the magnets powering its speakers were substantial, but I was pretty skeptical. That is, until I powered it up, wed its Bluetooth with my Galaxy III's Bluetooth, and started playing music. It puts out really good sound!
Summary: I found this speaker to be truly remarkable for the price. The sound dynamics are well within the range I would expect for its size and can nearly fill a large room without distortion (unless ramped to full volume). It has met every expectation I had for such a small portable speaker. It immediately paired with my i-phone but had difficulty also pairing with my i-pad until I read that pairing with a second source requires that you hold down the on button until pairing is...
Before "returning it because it won't sync", read this... I bet it's OK

Summary: I too was blown away by the sound of this little gem. That being said, JBL -- the manual is junk!Pictures sometimes are NOT intuitive. You need to invest in some instructions for this! I see the previous person actually returned theirs because it wouldn't sync. I posted my experience and success story in the Apple Communities iPad mini section just a bit ago... other than the useless manual, this is a great product and I look forward to using it more!
