Summary: First off, I owned the Creature II speakers before these, and I absolutely loved them. After four years of great listening, I felt compelled to buy the Creature IIIs when the balance knobs on the Creature II started to get shaky and sometimes lost connection. Pros: These speakers look great and sound excellent at low-medium volume. Balance knobs work as they should.
cool looking speakers but not the sound quality I was hoping for out of JBL's

Summary: The cables are too short; there is limited space to put the speakers. Also, my husband and I have a JBL 7.1 stereo surround sound system that sounds great so I was hoping for better quality sound out of this system but it will do for good use with the computer.
It's too bad they don't sound nearly as good as they look..

Summary: I'm not an audiophile by any means, but I do enjoy good sound from quality speakers. I purchased the JBL Creature III right here off of Amazon strictly based on appearance and having a good experience with JBL speakers in the past. I needed a power boost from the low-level integrated speakers on my iMac. I have to admit, I was really disappointed once I received them. I knew that once I held the box (expecting to be heavy when in reality it was around 3lbs.
Can Fill a Room With Sound, Decent Quality, Bass Disappointing

Summary: I bought this item on Amazon for $67. For the price I paid, I think the value is decent. But I wouldn't pay more than that. These speakers can definitely fill a room with sound and the sound is decent. On the whole I am pleased with them, but the bass is disappointing. If bass is a big deal to you, get something else. If you just want a set of decent-sounding speakers that look really cool, these are worth considering.
Summary: The AC adaptor shipped with this product quickly developed an awful high pitched buzz. I replaced it out of my own pocket after getting nowhere with JBL support. The sub has also started making a popping noise when playing anything with a bit of bass. Cant have it over about 25% volume before it starts doing this. If you're looking for something that will last, you should probably look elsewhere.
Summary: I purchased this speaker system because I moved countries, so I had to sell my Logitech 5.1 which ran on 110V. I also lost some space for my new desktop computer, so I needed something smaller. These seem to fit the bill, but I was a little surprised at how small they were for the price. The satellite speakers we're a good size, but the woofer is too small to justify the name.
