Summary: I had a creature II and it was much more powerful and high quality. This Creature III is much smaller, and flimsy, and the sound feels very cheap and not deep. I will return this equipment, do not buy it!!!
Summary: Im very disappointed in these speakers. Jbl is my favorite brand cause they always sound good, not so in this case. It sounds like $20 dollar computer speakers very low in sound & the bass is very distorted . I believed the good reviews but some people are just satisfied with junk sometimes. The speakers are super small but so is the sound that comes out of them. Youve been warned.
Summary: I bought this speaker during the 2011 thanksgiving sales from amazon for about 69.99usd. The speaker's quality is good, the sound is crispy everything is fine except the "innovative volume controller". The control button is not sensitive enough. You need to press it and wait for like 3 seconds to change the sound volume. The volume controller crashed after one month of using.
Summary: I do have very good experience with JBL products, but this one isn't good at all. Only reason. Very poor, weak sound. Worse than comp buil in speakers. Maybe because bad repairing job - refurbished.
JBL Creature III Right Satellite creating many problems.

Summary: The sound on these speakers is really quite nice, I have no real complaints about that - although they are a tad bit soft - but then I'm not trying to go deaf myself either. The trouble I am having is with the right satellite - which is producing a tenth of the volume that is being produced by the left satellite. Everything is plugged in nice and tight, and the lights are on and all of that stuff that people might helpfully suggest i should try.
Summary: I purchased these speakers a year-and-a-half ago and was initially very pleased with them. They sounded great and looked nice and didn't take up too much space. My only initial complaint was that the "innovative touch controls for the volume" were slightly awkward to use. None of that much matters, however, when after this year-and-a-half the left channel quits working due to a faulty connection in the main unit -- the kind that if you wriggle the cable the sound...
JBL Creature III poor quality compared to JBL Creature I

Summary: Naturally after super satisfactory time with JBL Creature I, I checked the reviews out, and purchased JBL Creature III. The weight of III over I has gone down substantially by about 50 percent, about normal for new products, what not normal is the poor quality and wonky connectors. My JBL III is still working after 6 months, but my Apple iMac speakers have just about as much volume, and far less hiss. The culprit appears to be the wonky connectors on JBL III.
Major quality reduction from previous creature model

Summary: I was very disappointed with this produce, to the point were I sent it back. My sister owns the creature II (the earlier 40W version) and the clarity of those are very impressive. This led me to buying the latest model thinking that if anything it would be the same quality and standard.
Summary: I previously had these speakers in 2003 (they were a newish thing then) and they were excellent, along with the original Ipod. I gave them to my son when he got his own place and I vowed to get myself some more. So, that's what I did though a few years later! I was hugely disappointed, seems how they are now fairly iconic and sought after. They were crackly and I kept trying to turn up the volume - there was definately no power there.
