Perfect for some (just not me)

Summary: I bought the UE Boom first and had decided to return it because of shortcomings. Don't know how to add the link to that review but I gave it three starts as well. Below is what I'm looking for in order of importance: 1. Portability - if I needed just a home speaker, I would definitely not go with bluetooth for obvious quality limitations 2. Speakerphone capabilities - I wanted a speaker with the ability to pause the music and let me speak through the speaker. 3.
Summary: Sound is loud and high quality compared to the Creative D100 ($55.) However, the +$120 for the upgrade in quality is questionable (I paid $170 for a used one). Twenty-seven days after use, the "bluetooth pairing" button broke. (come to learn this is common) I am shipping it back to Jawbone (as it is still under 1yr warranty) at my own expense. If you choose to buy this product be VERY gentile with the pairing button!!!
Summary: Positives: Crisp sound, generous bass. Compact size Beautiful design Interesting sound effects Nice battery life Negatives: Bluetooth connectivity problems. Connectivity loss from Sony Tablet while surfing web.
Good battery life and decent sound, but has issues

Summary: Pros: Very portable Sounds good at mid to high volume Good battery life Cons: No way to change the system sound volumes, so it's really loud when you turn it on or off or connect it to a device. There is an audible buzz from the unit when it is connected to a device. I use this at night in my room and I have the volume turned down to the lowest setting and you can hear it buzz and crackle. I'm not sure if this unit is defective or if they are all like that.
Speaker blown after limited use, warranty honored by Jawbone

Summary: Original review I had high hopes for the Big Jambox. Bought it in May 2012 and have used it for on average an hour per day since then. So ballpark 350-400 hours of use. Nothing crazy in terms of how we've used it: never too loud because it frankly didn't sound great at high volume, and we've babied it whenever moving it from its home on our electronics shelf. No drops, no water spills, no kids using it as a stepping stool, no dogs eating it etc.
Summary: So I bought this because I was looking for something I could take with me to friends or for the deck and yard. I really wanted to love this speaker but it was missing depth. I have a Sony speaker I picked up at Costco for $120 that sounded so much better, more bass. The problem with the Sony is that it has to be plugged in an outlet, so that wasn't going to work for me. What I liked about the Jambox was how loud it was, but again it was missing bass and sounded tinny.
