Summary: These are barely louder then my $20 pair. I still have to use head phones to hear anything well. And even when they were turned off the left speaker gave off a buzzing sound. It fact, it took me a while to figure out where the sound was coming from. But when wearing head phones the sound is very loud. I had them reboxed 2 weeks ago to return but due to "life" I was 3 days late in trying to return them.
Summary: First let me say that I laughed at the reviews that described the blue power LED. One said it would light a room (it does!), another described it as melting his retinas (exaggeration as the pain causes you to look away before that can happen). Levity aside, it really is bright. One person stated they placed white nail polish over it and I have to say that a black sharpie works well too.
Summary: I love these speakers! I use them daily and have almost never had a problem with them. I tend to push my speakers to the limit which caused the death of my previous speakers. These however are still going strong after 6 months and have great bass and sound quality. I bought these speakers out of the open box section of best buy because they had no knew ones and I think this may be the reason for a slight noise the sub makes when listening to music with the woofer cranked...
Summary: I have had this system for 3 years . I am on my computer daily for a few hours, watching movies, TV shows or on the internet and this system is GREAT. The speakers sound nice and clear, subwoofer has good tight Bass. A very good sounding system. I have had no problems with it at all. For the low price I do not think you can beat it. The one thing people complain is the small light on the speaker with the controls on it is to bright, and it is.
Summary: I bought these speakers about 2 1/2 years ago and they are still working great. I listen to pretty much ALL types of music, and the quality is just as good with classical music as it is with heavy metal. For the casual music lover, I doubt there is a better computer speaker system available for only $70. Thank you Insignia!
Great sound, but there's a cracking noise when not playing anything.

Summary: Let me start off by saying I found these at Best Buy for $39.99. Look there first. The sound on these are quite good for that price, the bass can get impressive. They look good as well. I tested them as soon as I got them and they can crank out the sound for a little 2.1 system. These are perfect for the room my PC is in, and should be perfect for any small to medium sized room. If your apartment/house isn't huge, these could probably suffice for a party.
Summary: Honestly, the speakers are good. They sound good. The only problem I have with them is the blue LED power light. It's quite possibly the most annoying thing ever. It's not slightly dim... it's extremely bright and constantly in your eye. If you plan on having your speakers on in a darker/dim room, forget it about it because this light will blind you.
Summary: Excellent speakers. Beware that these only have full range woofers. The small tweeter looking thing above is a passive reflex port at best. HOWEVER, with that said, these sound fantastic and are as bright as can be. Not a complaint in the world.
Summary: I just moved into a new house and after putting everything in is rightful place I was sitting down at the computer and wanted to listen to music from pandora radio. After listening for about 10 minutes I decided that was enough and to go investigate new computer speakers. I went down to the nearest Best Buy and looked at all they had to offer and narrowed it down to these and the Klipsch pro media.
