Summary: as the title suggest, this thing is UGLY... it sounds pretty good, better than monitor or laptop speakers. I got double sided tape and stuck this ugly thing behind the desk, speakers facing the wall so i can have access to buttons underneath. setup once, no need to return. it works fine.
Summary: Weak volume, short cords, on/off light is on top instead of the front where you could see the blue, on light. Not sure why there is a USB computer connect but still has to be plugged into wall. Nice to have bass/treble. Would I buy another one? No.
Summary: Great cheap little soundbar. I bought it with the intent of using to amplify the music from my phone in a 10x10 shed while I worked. The sound isn't Bose quality (only reason for 4 stars), but it gets pretty loud and for $17 shipped, I couldn't ask for more.
Summary: I love this single device that has stereo speakers enclosed. It takes up less space and provides two other well powered USB ports that I don't have to access through the back of my PC tower. The directions were easy to follow and I am not the greatest "teckie.
iLuv Stereo Speakers for Mac/ PC and Laptops (iSP200BLK)
25 September 2012
Summary: I was a bit disappointed from this product. First the quality is not that great even for $22. Second, it must be powered externally (while there are speakers that can be USB powered). Third, you have to use the audio line in, cannot just used the USB to feed the music. I have a MacBook air and I hoped I could attach to the USB HUB (on the speaker) the mouse and keyboard and when I attached the USB plug from the speaker, everything will be connected.
Summary: I bought this to get better and louder sound than the internal speakers of my mac mini. The USB cord was pretty short limiting the distance the the speaker can be away from the computer, but it didn't matter to me because I wasn't planning on using it. The 3.5 in. jack awkwardly place on top of the device, so it's hard to position it in front of the monitor as in the promo picture. It was awkward to put it anywhere on your desk.
Summary: This is a very simple unit that sounds good for it's size. It is about 13.5 inches long by 3.5 high, so it doesn't waste alot of space. Power is supplied by a wall plug transformer. There are 3 USB ports on top fed by a supplied (short) cord. Sound input is via a 3.5mm stereo plug, which was not supplied, but was probably supplied with your computer. Don't expect window shaking bass, this doesn't have it. But it does do a good job of full spectrum sound reproduction.
