Summary: I needed a small alarm doc for my iphone and this is the perfect size, at the store I went to it was the only one in this price range. Was hoping for a better price selection so can't really compare it to others since it was the only one. I do like it though, no configuration and has a battery back up which already kicked in due to a storm a few weeks ago. If you're looking for small, easy to use, plug and play style, this is the one for you.
Pros: Plug and play, just hit the sync button and uses the iphone's alarms.
Summary: I bought this for my desk at work so I could listen to my iPod while also charging it and I use it every single day. I absolutely love this product, it doesn't take up too much space on my desk and has a great sound.
Summary: This would be a much better product if you didn't have to take the cover off. Who takes their cover off every day? Who has an iPhone without a cover? People who want to buy a new iPhone, that's who.
Pros: You can turn off the back light. Alarm gradually increases.
Cons: You have to take the cover off your iPhone to plug it in.
Summary: I got this online because it was $15 off store price. I use it primarily as my alarm clock. I sometimes charge my iPod and iPhone on it- though my old classic iPod does not fit well in the slot. The sound is great for the size of the product. I wish it had a couple more features.
Summary: I ended up returning the item because I found the JBL OnStage Micro III for less $$$ and way better sound. The JBL is not a clock, but I did not purchase it for the alarm and clock. The iHome sounded ok, but not near as good as the JBL. The iHome is a bit muffled on the lows and not clear highs. Kind of dissapointing really! I did not expect to find something in that price range that would sound great, but the JBL does.
Summary: So I've had this for a little over 3 weeks, listen to it every day. I primarily use it in the kitchen but sadly, it's not loud enough to hear beyond the one room. Also, it doesn't accept batteries, so taking it with me as I clean, or even to the beach, is impossible. Having said that though, this is one of the few, if not only, "app friendly" speakers.
