Summary: The speaker connected to my HP ZR24w monitor without problems. The two included thumbscrews were not needed; in fact, there's no provision for them on this monitor. The speaker sounds pretty good considering it's size (it's bass response is weak.) It sounds just as good as, or better than, most inexpensive computer speaker systems. I configured the HP speaker bar as a center speaker, so a wide acoustic range isn't critical.
Summary: The hanging part looked very flimsy (so be gently) but it was easily to clip on the edge of the monitor and it stayed well in there so far. Two plug-ins & turned it on, you had the sound!. If you're looking for a little add-in to make your work comfortably but don't want to spend more $ then this item is well worth 20 bucks to spend (it's $19.00 from amazon but I had to pay $1.75 extra to the Post Office. don't know why !
Summary: Very nice and easy to install. Noisy if volume is turned high and there is no input from the device. I would recommend this for a nice addition and for the price quality seems good and sound is very good.
nice speaker but doesn't attach to our HP computer

Summary: Liked the idea of this speaker attaching to the bottom of the computer monitor, but when we got it, there's no place to attach it to our computer. Should have researched the speaker a little better, I guess because we have to just set it on the desk below the monitor. there are no bracket holes or screw holes on the back to mount it to. Do some checking prior to ordering to make sure it will attach to your computer.
Summary: Sound is fine for general use. It's an easy way to let a monitor with an audio out jack do double duty as a regular TV. Just remember to plug the speaker's USB cable into a USB port that will be powered when the computer's off, say, on the back of our cable box or cable modem.
Summary: I researched this before I made my purchase. These were supposed to fit my new touch screen monitors for my classroom, but the did not fit. I attached them up with velcro, this is fine(not best). They sound good. I needed a quick ability to turn sound off or down during teaching time without having to go into the computer and they have served this purpose. I'm still a little disappointed that they did not screw in to the monitors as I had hoped.
Summary: I recently bought a Mac Mini, and the built in speaker is not adequate for videos. I was looking for a speaker for online videos, not for loud or regular music listening, and this speaker works great. The sound is clear with good stereo separation. It does not have power supply noise due to the USB power supply. It does distort at high volume, but then it is too loud to listen to anyway.
Pros: Mounts to the HP monitors and gets rid of clutter, has two headphone jacks and a tactile volume knob.
Cons: Only 2 Watts whereas the Dell speakerbar is 10 Watts and much louder. I would buy those except by company has boycotted Dell for horrible service. I still have a Dell at my desk and their speakerbar crushes the HP one.
Summary: Like all USB speakers, it has he hiss and noise that the PC bus generates - but you'll only notice when there's nothing else playing. When you're playing music or games the background noise is unnoticeable. Overall, this speaker's tone, distortion, noise and volume are all Very good. I had no difficulty mounting it to my HP L1908 monitor; this speaker is less than a 2 minute hookup, even for novices.
