Summary: The speaker connected to my HP ZR24w monitor without problems. The two included thumbscrews were not needed; in fact, there's no provision for them on this monitor. The speaker sounds pretty good considering it's size (it's bass response is weak.) It sounds just as good as, or better than, most inexpensive computer speaker systems. I configured the HP speaker bar as a center speaker, so a wide acoustic range isn't critical.
This speaker bar conserves space, doesn't drain your wallet and performs!

Summary: Great speakers for the money and you can still find them brand new on EBAY. I have bought 4 of them during the last year for HP L1710 monitors I have. This speaker bar is not only good quality speakers but conserves space when you don't have it on a small desk. The small independent speakers I had were always in my way and were constantly getting knocked off my desk. I have no drawbacks with this speaker bar and would gladly buy another should the need arise.
Summary: The hanging part looked very flimsy (so be gently) but it was easily to clip on the edge of the monitor and it stayed well in there so far. Two plug-ins & turned it on, you had the sound!. If you're looking for a little add-in to make your work comfortably but don't want to spend more $ then this item is well worth 20 bucks to spend (it's $19.00 from amazon but I had to pay $1.75 extra to the Post Office. don't know why !
For the low cost, this is an excellent supplemental speaker

Summary: I bought this to replace the dumb down-pointing speakers from my 32" HDTV set. Just needed more directional sound for a secondary TV. These work great. I ended up turning the volume up 100% and controlling volume via the TV remote. NO hum, buzz or anything you normally get with inexpensive computer speakers. The unit is USB powered and the TV's USB port was able to power it with no apparent issues.
Summary: I choose this speaker because I wanted to free up my desk from speakers for my computer. I liked that it was low-profile and fit neatly on my HP LP2475w. So when the price dropped, I went ahead and purchased it. I got a used version so it was missing the mounting screws. I think. While the instructions were included they were not in English, but there was a lovely picture of two mounting screws that I just didn't see in the box.
