Matt, Amazon
23 November 2011
  • Summary: Old system with uneven sound. My sub doesn't seem to work with any device. Headphone line-in in the middle of the long speaker cords is the only plus.

Good Buy

T. Gough, Amazon
22 November 2011
  • Summary: Now if you want audiophile type speakers look somewhere else. but if you just want to hear your computer because the surrounding noise makes it hard to hear, and you want something that sounds good for the money. Then this will work fine.

Not impressed

scgvegas, Amazon
30 October 2011
  • Summary: First, it took nearly 10 days to get these (can we spell " S L O W?). When I first hooked them up, they didn't work. Called customer service and spoke with an uncaring female who told me to send them back if they didn't work. . . great (!). Once I figured out the problem, the speakers did work.

Nhan N., Newegg
20 October 2010
  • Pros: nice and crisp sound. the sub woofer is strong as heck for its size but i guess thats why its from hercules. you can turn the sub all the way off (thats good for me cause i use my speakers at night and the subs will wake everyone up in my house.) has a line in port in the front so you can just pl...
  • Cons: i find it weird how the on/off switch is behind the sub woofer. not very convenient but not really a con. i regret not buying these on newegg because they cost me 15 bucks more at another retailer...

User Review

pete h., Newegg
20 March 2010
  • Pros: they look good
  • Cons: no on/off switch on remote. (it's on the sub ). Has a lot of hiss in between songs. I replaced a set of 23 dollar speakers with these, but wish I had stuck with the cheaper 17 watt set...they out preformed these in features and sound quality.

Fantastic piece of kit

Colinmass, Amazon
19 February 2013
  • Summary: First of all let me say thanks to Amazon for their usual first class delivery time and everything arrived well packaged. Now for the kit itself, WOW what an excellent good looking speaker and sub woofer set up, dinky slimline speakers and an equaly dinky subwoofer.

Worth paying a little extra for

James Stevens "Silly Dad", Amazon
26 October 2012
  • Summary: I wanted some 2.1 speakers mostly for listening to music. In that respect most sub-£50 systems disappoint in that they boom and tweet fine, but no mid-range (you will see that in a lot of reviews) - for music no mid-range makes the music sound very thin. Not a problem here.
