Hercules XPS 2.1 40 Slim Speakers Review
15 May 2010
Conclusion: For the price I’m truly impressed by these speakers, they actually sound very good. If I didn’t know the price I would think they cost at least two to three times more than they do. They’re well made, and they look very good.
Excerpt: I tend to use my iMac for everything from music to tv to movies when I am in my home study. And why not? After all, the 24″ screen is great for TV and movies. (And the 27″ will be even better!!) There are, however, a few things that make the experience quite a bit better.
Pros: Small, slim, stylish, great price-point, good sound for the price
Cons: Power button on the back of the sub-woofer, GSM buzz that is truly a buzzkill
Excerpt: Hercules’ XPS 2.1 40 Slim speakers are so named because of the tall, slender satellites which aren’t much thicker than an average paperback novel. Despite their slim appearance they feel sturdy and aren't in any danger of falling over. Despite its low price, the XPS also has a wired remote.
