Summary: Have had it for about 2 weeks now and am very happy. Great sound for its size. Uses batteries, 12 volt or 110 very nice. Use it on my boat. I use it with the Classic iPod. Does not work with any case on your iPod, but then again, it is a case. Very well built and rugged. Be careful who you order it from. It took over a month to come and I had to send two e-mails. Not good. Will probably buy another one for my step son.
Summary: I looked for months for a device like this--a 'boombox' style outdoor radio, something that I could just toss out on the deck for barbecues and not worry if it got rained on or anything. Overall the device works GREAT. The one problem I have with it is that the bay for the iPod will _only_ hold the older-generation iPods. My iPhone or iPod Touch will dock in the thing and work okay, but you can't close the clear plastic door that allows you to leave it outside full-time.
Summary: This thing gets pretty loud before you hear any distortion and the first place I used it was at a pool party. The sound changes when the iPod hatch is open. It sounds a little louder and lower like a bass reflex speaker when it's open since there are openings where the sound from inside the sealed housing can come out there.
Summary: Very pleased with ruggedness and sound quality. Excellent purchase. Bubble-type buttons are not easy for my toddler to operate, but minor point. True stereo capability is not a strong point, but the unit is what it is. We are using this to play iPod nano, iPod mini, and Creative Nomad in backyard patio/pool environments and have no complaints. The volume is loud enough for our needs too.
nice system but needs a better handle or to include the strap

Summary: I am pleased with the product except for the fact the handle on the back is difficult to use. On the box it shows people carrying this with a strap but it doesn't come with the strap so that's why I'm giving it 4 stars
