Summary: I bought this speaker system to hook up to my computer. it sounded very nice and got the job done. so i go into my room one day to see that the blue led is not on. i check to see if the system is plugged in, yes it is.
Summary: Subsequent to reading about 200 reviews on Harman Kardon's Sounstciks II, one of which was written by a consumate audiophile who found this system hard to fault, I ordered my first set from E-bay but which I returned because they were not cosmetically as advertised ("perfect").
good high and low. lacks midrange still good bargain

Summary: first, for current discount price of $130 with shipping, this is a great value. sound: highs are very clear and subwoofer provides very good lows. however, midrange is mediocre. if you play cd via computer and use itune, there is an equalizer which you can adjust the high, and get better midrange.
Summary: We seem to be sensitive to noise and don't need "big, booming bass." After shopping for a portable set of speakers/dock for one daughter's ipod, both via online reviews, friends' takes, seemingly knowledgeable store staff, listening in stores and around, etc.
Summary: after reading the various raves and complaints about these speakers, i ended up buying a set anyway. ok, i'll admit that the "hip" factor played a role. i found these to be great speakers for both my walkman and the pc.
Summary: Soundsticks II are tops. I like to hear all the instruments. With these speakers my music is crystal clear including the singing. Now I no longer have to use my stereo to play CDs. Now I can use my computer.
Summary: These rival my Klipsch promedia 2.1 - rated at a combined 400 watts. The soundsticks subwoofer on a hard surface on the floor provides an extremely surprising full bass - without overpowering the "sticks." The depth of the sub sounds to be much lower than its rating.
Summary: Don't be fooled by their rather flashy and diminutive package. These have some great sound in all but the largest rooms. I'm sure there are better out there, but for the price I am quite impressed. They have a typical JBL sound, somewhat forward in the mids and a crisp high end.
Summary: Holy cow, I cannot believe how awesome these speakers are!!! My home desktop is using a Logitech THX 5.1 system, and I was looking at getting a 2.1 system for my personal laptop. I did massive amounts of research on various Logitech, Klipsh, and Creative systems.
Sometimes great, sometimes not. Try before you buy.

Summary: These speakers get such rave reviews wherever you look that you'll expect them to be pretty amazing. In many ways they are. They look amazing, for a start, all transparent and space age, and nicely built. The satellites look particularly good, and you can angle them easily.
