Unique product and a solid purchase

Bunny, Amazon
10 December 2014
  • Summary: These are as cool looking as the picture shows. Very modern looking! The sound is decent and clear. (start with 5 stars) The power could be greater (I like speakers loud enough to drown me out when I sing and I'm loud) but about what you should expect in the price range. (- 1 star) I wish the volume and on adjustments were better thought out. Fine adjustment on volume is difficult to achieve.

Sound just like anything else

Jacob T, Apple Store

  • Summary: Im a video editor that was looking for some great speakers for monitoring audio, I fell into the hype and cool design of these speakers. I have found that they sound just like speakers that are much cheaper. They do get the job done, im not saying they are a bad speaker, but you can buy some about half the price and get the same performance.

They look better than they sound

CBMusika, Amazon
12 December 2011
  • Summary: These are visually stunning, but they didn't sounds nearly as beautiful as they look. I ordered both the Creative GigaWorks T40 Series II 2.0 Multimedia Speaker System with BasXPort Technolgy and these. I was so hoping that the Harman Kardon would sound better because they looked amazing on my desk, but alas, the Creative speakers sounded much fuller. You'd think the Creative's wouldn't sound as good because they don't have a separate subwoofer, but that wasn't the case.

Good while they lasted

hari T, Apple Store
19 June 2011
  • Summary: I owned these speakers for about 4 years and was very satisfied with them. The bass bin under the desk, the satellites either side of my iMac. All well and good until one satellite started making an irritating buzzing noise. On close inspection, I found that the glue holding one speaker in the four-speaker stack had given up and the speaker was loose. No way to fix it. The way the speakers are fixed to the column is weak, the glue goes brittle and breaks.

  • Summary: It is one of the best 2.1 speaker I owned. Sound quality is just phenomenal. There is not much to describe about this product. I will mention its pros and cons so it easier for you to decide if you want it or not. Pros: # Ultra clear sound quality; # Unique design; # Platform-neutral mini jack connector # Touch volume and mute controls # Sub woofer volume control # Angle-adjustable satellites # Incredible industrial design Cons: # No headphone jack # No visual indicator...

Good value for the dollars

Glida, Amazon
19 March 2011
  • Summary: All in all, a good value for the money. Basically, this Soundsticks III unit, which I purchased at Amazon, did just what I wanted it to do, which was to deliver a sound and imaging that was qualitatively better than my reasonably adequate iMac, without busting my budget. If I really want sound that blows my socks off, I merely need to trek downstairs and listen to my surround system with Kipsch Forte II speakers and Denon digital receiver - works just fine.

...meh

Kristopher A, Apple Store
25 January 2011
  • Summary: I read tons of reviews on these, walked into the apple store and bought them without a question. when i got home and plugged them in i was a little disappointed. don't get me wrong, they are loud. the sub shakes the floor above me, but the sticks sound muffled to me when it comes to crunchy guitar rifs. they are probably awesome if you listen to mainly hip hop, rap or classical, but if you listen to metal these are weak.

good, with a some exceptions.

kyle, Amazon

  • Summary: I decided to purchase these speakers because of the stellar reviews that they received, which i can mostly relate to. Their industrial design is fantastic and they go with the rest of my system in a very simplistic manner. Starting off, at medium to high volumes with the base set to almost minimum, these sound fantastic.

Good, yet flawed.

Jamie Bristow, Amazon
7 January 2015
  • Summary: After reading some of the other reviews, I was expecting great things from these speakers, while they are good, I can't help but also feel disappointed with them. I'd first seen the Soundsticks II version of these a couple of years ago but couldn't justify the circa £110+ price tag of them at the time. I managed to pick my set up for £69.99 in the Boxing Day Sale so was very happy with the price I paid.

Good value but faulty

Trevor Ford, Amazon
26 July 2013
  • Summary: Item although sounded good was faulty in that LED's do not work ,. However, price was so good and sound is really good so I have not bothered to take it further as postage is so high. So, overall I am satisfied the item was good value.
