Summary: These speakers have a fantastic sound. They are heavy. This isn't an issue if they are going to stay in the same spot, but my wife uses them for working out and their weight does cause a carrying issue.
Superb sound for the price; sounds fills big room easily

Summary: I purchased these speakers for a 42 inch television I have that has terrible sound- and is in a large room (about 15 x 20 feet) . I had two other options -- first, to use some very good speakers with a high end amp that I have not been using. This would not work, since I do not want my family turning my expensive amp on and off all the time.
Summary: IMPORTANT: The first thing I did after set up was to test it's bass, using bass videos from youtube. The bass is a pretty weak, as expected of these small wooden boxes. It is not nearly as deep as the cheap $25 dollar logitech 2.1 set up, but having it on the table, I probably wouldn't want it to be that deep as it can hurt my ears. There are more things to say about the bass though, it's very flat, like a soft thump on a wooden table.
Summary: I have no regrets buying these speakers: GeniusSP-HF1800A. I like listening to them, and showing them off! At $60 delivered, I feel I paid a fair price for excellent quality. After friends hear them, they look impressed and imagine if they could also benefit from owning some. I never imagined my computer sounding this good. I power them with an $80 sound card (ASUS).
Summary: For under $60 these speakers are in a league all of their own. Of course without a dedicated subwoofer you aren't going to get obnoxious bass. I've run these speakers through many genres of music and they are perfectly balanced with everything I throw at them. The adjustable Treble/Bass knobs are perfect and have a quality feel to them. I wouldn't bother with the RCA to 3.5mm cable they've included its pretty cheap.
Summary: My friend and I both produce music as a hobby. He runs some M-Audio speakers ($200) and I've been using headphones. I got these for Christmas by my request and was very surprised by the quality. These are hands down THE BEST computer speakers I've heard. The bass is punchy, highs are clear, and mids sound as they should. I really like the look of them too. They are very loud as well, without getting murky. I HIGHLY SUGGEST EVERYONE INTERESTED IN SPEAKERS TO BUY THESE.
Just so you'd know, get some extra performance out of them:

Summary: These speakers sound very good by themselves. Best place is to use them in a small livingroom sized room, bedroom, or small studio. They're good enough speakers to provide background music in a 15-20 people party inside; for a movie theatre of ~20sq feet (upto 15 people ) of moderate volume movies you probably will stretching them. The bass is sufficient, though not overwhelming, as standard speakers.
Summary: I'm by no means an audiophile, but for approx. 60 bucks, I don't think you can beat these speakers. They're gigantic for computer desk speakers, look great and sound pretty amazing. Heavy wood enclosures give good sound. Can''t believe the quality pumping out of these boxes. I've read that speakers need a 'break-in' period too. So I assume these will get better.
