Good audio but the speakers had a fairly short life

Summary: When these speaker were working I was pleased with the audio they produced. The only negative comment I have is the short life of these speakers. They quit working after one year and ten months.
Summary: well, i just got these... i should have listened to the few reviews that said the mid drivers dont work because they dont. put your finger on them and they are dead... hope i can return them... and i cant return them because they are hazardous material!!!!!!!
Summary: I had these speakers for about a year and a half before the sound started crackling and fading. About a week ago they just completely died on me. I emailed Genius twice with an email asking about warranty or repair and they never got back to me at all.
Summary: Sounded good, maybe a little bass heavy. Stopped working after 1 hour, return shipping would be more expensive than getting a new pair of speakers. Has a ported back so not great for wall mount
Summary: I bought 4 pair of these. The specs are great, the price is right. But they lose sound quality quickly and break. I drove a pair from a desktop computer. Within months they developed a crackling sound whenever on, maybe due to ground currents with the computer's power supply wearing them out.
Summary: Would not trust this brand again, Poor quality of a simple component like a power cable, that was a shock hazard / fire hazard. A $10 dollar lamp has a better power cord.
Pros: The speaker components actually looked decent.
Cons: When i unpacked the speakers the power cord insulation looked weak and thin. So i examined it closely and i am glad i did. Found a place where the power cord had copper showing through. Unfortunately, I had these over a month before i even opened the box so i couldn't RMA them to new egg.
Summary: I have speakers in my studio from inexpensive creative soundlabs models, to mid-range $150-$300 sets, and top out at a couple of full M-audio sets that are $1000+. I buy the speakers with regards to price and these simply don't sound like anything anyone should listen to.
Pros: These speakers look like a much more expensive set-up than what you will likely pay
Cons: Set one stopped working after 2 weeks. Sound is understandably flat given price and woofer size. Construction is laughable to say the least. From the screws used, to the density of the panels, to quality of the volume knob, don't expect these to last.
