Cons: worst purchase in 15 years! horrible, highly distorted sound at any but lowest level, sound level less than Five dollar 1 watt speakers that we compared them to. these speakers are not worth the box they were shipped in! large print on box claims 100 watt but fine print states 1 watt RMS.
Cons: These speakers don't even out perform your onboard PC speakers. Advertised at 100 watts, I can't they believe that they might sustain 10. Save your money - I thought there was somebody new out there but there wasn't ......
Summary: Besides the grainy sound, distorted vocals and lack of sympathy for those who are not deaf, these speakers leave much to be desired. If you are going to buy from this brand, get the set with the subwoofer - that set is fine, pretty great actually. These are garbage on their own. I danced on a pulled calf muscle the day I got these in the mail, when I hooked them up to my computer I instantly saw what a waste of effort it was.
Summary: These speakers by Genius are the worst speakers I have ever seen/heard in my entire life. These came with a desktop computer case, otherwise I would not have bought these. After trying to listed to music on it you'll feel like something similar to nails on a chalkboard: High pitched distortion and the bass is nonexistent. Earn your $12, save earth from these piling up on landfills and get Logitech or better. Cheap price on audio devices equals terrible quality.
Summary: not even remotely worth the little bit I did pay for them. I have a 2.1 Genius set that I have been VERY happy with, so I know they CAN make good quality low cost products, this however is by far the junkiest speaker set I have EVER purchased.
Pros: Cheap....until you figure in shipping. final cost was almost 18 dollars for a ten dollar set of speakers
Cons: These things are so poorly shielded that in an office environment the speakers have that 20hz hum. It is unbearably annoying. I took the speakers up stairs so that one of my roomates can use them on his computer. and of course they are the first and loudest to pop when an AT&T phone goes off.
Summary: I don't know why so many others gave it decent ratings, I'm no picky person and even I have to complain about the quality of these speakers. The saying is true, you get what you paid for.
Pros: The fact that it works?
Cons: Almost everything. The sound is terrible...so terrible that it hurts your ears if you listen to it too long. Music cannot be enjoyed using these speakers. I tried some really high quality files and it still sounds like terrible.
Summary: Seriously... Don't buy these under any circumstances.
Pros: They turn on.
Cons: Everything about them. I bought these expecting they would be at least as good as the speakers you would get from going to walmart and buying a computer... Not even close. These are awful and there's a reason they cost just as much as it costs to ship them.
