Cons: worst purchase in 15 years! horrible, highly distorted sound at any but lowest level, sound level less than Five dollar 1 watt speakers that we compared them to. these speakers are not worth the box they were shipped in! large print on box claims 100 watt but fine print states 1 watt RMS.
Summary: I would buy these again. For the price, they are pretty usable. Nothing spectacular. Do not expect to be overwhelmed. Any time you see speakers touting P.M.P.O, you know there is some shady marketing going on. These are on par with 2 to 3 watt speakers.
Pros: Small Footprint Not overly loud, but adequate 110 powered, but no wall wart Good reproduction of voice tones Headphone jack override
Cons: Not great for multimedia No tone control (is set to a medium warmth) Not a lot of extra cord length (but pretty adequate for a typical setup) Light, easy to knock over. (I lay them down where I can)
Cons: These speakers don't even out perform your onboard PC speakers. Advertised at 100 watts, I can't they believe that they might sustain 10. Save your money - I thought there was somebody new out there but there wasn't ......
Summary: Besides the grainy sound, distorted vocals and lack of sympathy for those who are not deaf, these speakers leave much to be desired. If you are going to buy from this brand, get the set with the subwoofer - that set is fine, pretty great actually. These are garbage on their own. I danced on a pulled calf muscle the day I got these in the mail, when I hooked them up to my computer I instantly saw what a waste of effort it was.
Summary: These speakers by Genius are the worst speakers I have ever seen/heard in my entire life. These came with a desktop computer case, otherwise I would not have bought these. After trying to listed to music on it you'll feel like something similar to nails on a chalkboard: High pitched distortion and the bass is nonexistent. Earn your $12, save earth from these piling up on landfills and get Logitech or better. Cheap price on audio devices equals terrible quality.
