Summary: -Very heavy -Not as loud as you would expect from something this size. -No way of knowing if it is off completely or not (it's not a switch, but a button). -On/Off button gets pressed easily by mistake inside a bag. -Battery indicator is inaccurate. -No option to turn off Bluetooth if a cable is used (to save battery). -Sound quality distorted if volume rises above a certain level. -Easy to carry -Nice big solar panel.

Summary: I was in love with this product when it first arrived (October 2013). It has made it tailgating, camping, bbq's and everywhere in between, but what caused me to jump on here and write a review was the 4th of July rafting trip. Within minutes of setting off into the raging waters one of our party had flipped and the rescue mission was on- My Rugged Rukus was full submerged into white water for the better part of 5 minutes attached to the outside of my drybag.
Good quality and can operate in moderate rain with Bluetooth

Summary: Use this camping and by the hot tub in the Seattle rain and it has stood up pretty well. Water gets under the plastic film for the solar panel and takes about a week to dry out, but does not affect operation. Sound is pretty good for a small unit, and on a sunny day will work for several hours if fully charged. Bluetooth paring is simple and you can use the auxilliary jack to connect devices that are not Bluetooth capable.
great sound quality and volume and amazing longevity

Summary: This thing worked out great for me. Had a full day and night beach thing for the 4th of July and it lasted with more than half the battery by 11pm. It was plenty loud for us and others within 30ft of us to enjoy the music on the beach. Only 2 draw backs, I have the note 3 which doesn't fit in the front compartment and for my friends iphone 4s the charging isn't compatible with the usb it seems.
Summary: Great price, great sound, and nearly unlimited battery life. Sound is a "bit directional" but honestly for our outdoor use, I found this to be exactly what we wanted. I didn't want a super loud radial boom box that everyone can hear at the beach. When I am at the beach and not listening to my own music, i don't want other peoples music to be loud enough to be my own. And I felt like this was easily able to play music for our spot on the sand, and not bother anyone else..
