Fantastic speakers, just needs one small improvement.

Summary: Fantastic sound pretty much all around. The build is aesthetically pleasing. The set up is quite easy. Everything paired up pretty good. They need to put directions on the remote control so I know how to increase or decrease the volume.
Summary: Remember Edifier? The company that now owns Stax? I recently covered their e10 Exclaim desktop speakers and found them rather impressive for just $99. While making a nice budget speaker is certainly noteworthy, part of that equation involves most other speakers in that price being rather poor. Edifier is able to stand out merely by not being terrible.
Pros: Vivid, energetic sound with good thump and sparkle, size and shape forces good tweeter positioning with no stand required
Cons: Can be fatiguing for certain music in the long term, can't handle really high volumes very well, questionable input choices
Summary: I bought my Edifier Spinnaker E30 3 months ago and I had the following problems. First they took my money but never shipped the speakers. After about a month, I called them back... they realized their mistake and shipped them immediately. I’m no audiophile expert but I enjoy the quality of the sound very much. I also like that I can connect my phone (Bluetooth) to listen to my music on my spinnakers. Recently though, my remote control suddenly stopped working.
Summary: We bought our speakers in December 2012. They worked for about 3 hours, then just emoted static. We contacted the company and they replaced the speakers. We seldom use them but again, after just a few hours of use, they stopped working. This time there was no sound at all. We haven't tried to send them back this time. Though I think we are due a complete refund, there is no way I want a set again. By the way, the sound was fabulous -- for the short time it lasted.
Summary: These speakers look totally awesome (5 stars), but had only decent sound which was a little muddy (3 stars) but quit after only 3-4 months of use (1 star). I recommend that you do not buy this product. That said, they are exactly what I was looking for, and will remain in place on my TV stand as cool looking decorative objects. The ability to switch between Bluetooth and the TV input (via optical jack) was the main reason I bought these, and it worked great.
Summary: Love the sound quality of this system and believe me I mean great sound quality. These speakers are certainly loud enough to fill a good sized room in a house but not likely loud enough to annoy the neighbors too much. Via optical there is no hiss, just clean sound that is ready to go within a quarter of a second of when the sound starts.
Pros: -great sound quality via optical and good Aux sound as well, -nice balance of bass in an all in one system, -control pod is rechargeable means no battery to replace, -control pod's rubber base sticks nicely to glass surfaces, -very detailed sound all around, detailed lows, mids and highs, -rather good volume levels; loud enough to impress my friends, -unique look, -easily recognized by Bluetooth devices, -can connect a separate subwoofer for louder bass, -includes a w...
Cons: -WAY TOO EASY to be recognized by Bluetooth devices that could be near by and no pass code needed, -sound (built in woofer) distorts at max volume levels, -control pod requires recharging for Bluetooth and remote control use. There are no buttons on speakers to control anything, -Overly aggressive power savings mode built into speakers can cause popping sound and loss of sound stage when using low volume levels
