Fantastic speakers, just needs one small improvement.

Summary: Fantastic sound pretty much all around. The build is aesthetically pleasing. The set up is quite easy. Everything paired up pretty good. They need to put directions on the remote control so I know how to increase or decrease the volume.
Summary: Remember Edifier? The company that now owns Stax? I recently covered their e10 Exclaim desktop speakers and found them rather impressive for just $99. While making a nice budget speaker is certainly noteworthy, part of that equation involves most other speakers in that price being rather poor. Edifier is able to stand out merely by not being terrible.
Pros: Vivid, energetic sound with good thump and sparkle, size and shape forces good tweeter positioning with no stand required
Cons: Can be fatiguing for certain music in the long term, can't handle really high volumes very well, questionable input choices
Summary: I bought my Edifier Spinnaker E30 3 months ago and I had the following problems. First they took my money but never shipped the speakers. After about a month, I called them back... they realized their mistake and shipped them immediately. I’m no audiophile expert but I enjoy the quality of the sound very much. I also like that I can connect my phone (Bluetooth) to listen to my music on my spinnakers. Recently though, my remote control suddenly stopped working.
Summary: We bought our speakers in December 2012. They worked for about 3 hours, then just emoted static. We contacted the company and they replaced the speakers. We seldom use them but again, after just a few hours of use, they stopped working. This time there was no sound at all. We haven't tried to send them back this time. Though I think we are due a complete refund, there is no way I want a set again. By the way, the sound was fabulous -- for the short time it lasted.
Summary: These speakers look totally awesome (5 stars), but had only decent sound which was a little muddy (3 stars) but quit after only 3-4 months of use (1 star). I recommend that you do not buy this product. That said, they are exactly what I was looking for, and will remain in place on my TV stand as cool looking decorative objects. The ability to switch between Bluetooth and the TV input (via optical jack) was the main reason I bought these, and it worked great.
Summary: Great speakers, great sound quality (volume, depth, clarity). I am somewhat disappointed that Edifier did all the hard work, but stopped at the low-hanging fruit. The speakers have to stand on their base (i.e., they cannot be mounted on a wall or upside-down from a ceiling). Also, the two "horns" are connected by a wire, which means their distance from each other is limited to the length of their connecting wire, and for a wireless system, being constrained by wires is...
Very nice sound and I am very happy with my purchase!

Summary: I purchased the speakers a couple of months ago and now I can enjoy music, videos, etc. again. I own a high end audio/video system (9k worth of components and speakers)and miss being able to listen to music without taking over a complete room. In the past I would use headphones and recently I have grown tired of having to listen my music through these headphones while having the audio quality I enjoy with my AV system.
Summary: These speakers died on my after 3 months of mild use. They just started emitting a popping sound and no longer function, I'll update this review based on my experience with Edifier customer service. EDIT: I contacted edifier's US warranty service and they immediately sent out a new set of speakers citing that this model had a known defect.
