Summary: This speaker system belies its price. Better sonics than I expected. Bottom end is not 'growly' but is more than just a hint at what is in the recording. Nice spatial presentation. Can't help but wonder how these would perform with a better bottom end.
Summary: I had a pair of very basic, entry level Creative Labs speakers for several years. I now find myself listening to more music and video online so I wanted to get better pair of speakers. Two things I did not want were expensive speakers nor did I want speakers that required a lot of complex settings.
Summary: Pros: Good looking units, nice desk soundstage. Cons: Bass is better than more similar systems, but still is reduced below about 90 hz. In theory goes lower, but does not sound that way to me.
Summary: A clear sound that I appreciate. The bass is decent without being too heavy (some might think it's too light). I wish the speakers had a headphone jack AND I wish they both didn't say "EDIFIER" on them. I guess a brand has to get its name out there.
Summary: The first set did not work properly. Company requested that I return it and replaced it with a new set. The new set is working fine. My only complaint is that it took almost 3 weeks to get a replacement and in the meantime I had no speakers. They are using UPS ground which is taking much too long.
Summary: The sound quality is nowhere near a pair of legitimate nearfield studio monitors (muddy mid-bass, limited highs), but it's a darn sight better than anything you'll get out of a laptop speaker.
Summary: These are phenomenal speakers for the size (they are quite a bit smaller than I expected, even after reading the dimensions) and price. I bought these as a gift for someone who was travelling overseas. Her laptop was going to become her entertainment center. I told her she needed speakers.
