Excerpt: I wanted to get speakers that were a little bit better sounding than the ones that came with my computer. My computer actually doesn’t even have external speakers. The sound comes from the monitor itself. The monitor sound is very tinny so I just needed something that sounded much less tinny. It turned out that I didn’t have to spend a lot of money to get much better sound. I just hooked up my new speakers from Walmart.
Excerpt: It took 3 minutes to set up and I was blown away at the quality. One should note to make sure the volume in turned down before you turn it on. I made the mistake of not reading the instructions and turned it on. It was so loud I couldn't focus on finding the volume knob. Lesson - read the instructions.
Excerpt: I have purchased two of these. These are not for the audiophile, as there are much better sounding speakers out there. But if price is a factor, I don't think you can get better sound for under fourty dollars. They also look nice and the volume disk is pretty neat, which also has audio input (you can plug your phone right in and listen to that) and has hearphones out which automatically mutes the speakers. So smart design, and great value.
Excerpt: I own two sets of these speakers, one for home and one for work. You'd be hard pressed to find a better set of speakers for the price. Sound is clear and you can pump the bass loud if you want!
I will be buying at least one more, one of the best $35 purchases i've made

Summary: This is a solid product. I didn't expect 110+ decibels out of a little unit like this, I wanted good sound to listen to music. We got more than expected, we have a huge living/dining/kitchen common area, this unit over delivers. The room is filled with clear clean music and matching bass. Not to loud to be distracting but can't turn it up all the way and still have a easy conversation.
